I was in England in August of 1977, and everywhere you went you would see posters advertising Oxygene, and you'd hear it playing as you walked past record stores.
This is a bit synth-tastic. I listened to this today after going to see "Furtwangler", a little known Fagin's Boys tune, and I wanted to hear some more synth platter. Mitchell-Jarry sounds like a more upstart version of the Radiophonic Workshop, who did some lovely brash music for 80s Dr. Who, among other projects.
It was also in the 1981 Mel Gibon movie 'Gallipoli' in the famous sequence as he's racing through the trenches to deliver the message from General--it's still a masterpiece: Begins at 9:21
