Monumental Ami Rivenc Cylinder Music Box, 1885, full restored playes The Wedding March

I was able to purchase this monumental Cylinder Music instrument in 2016 at an antique market for 250 euros.
As can be seen in the photo at the beginning of the video, it was not ready to play. Everything was badly rusted, the bells where not functional without the levers under the base plate. The comb had no dampers, the cylinder had many rusted and bent and missing pins, so it was complete to repinn. The Governor was damaged and the wooden box was also missing.
All in all an instrument, that made me wonder, whether a complex restoration would even be worthwhile. The Music Box was as a coin-operated music box constructed, and stood in a restaurant or pub, i think.
The selection of songs is in German and contains well-known folk songs and operettas. Both versions of Richard Wagner's Wedding March and Bridal Choir are also included, N° 1&2.
The large (44cm) and thick (8cm) cylinder produces a very powerful sound and was therefore wonderfully applicable for restaurants and pubs.
Today, after 4 years restoring from the Musee Baud in Switzerland, among others, i enjoy the full restored Music Box.
The new wooden box of solid walnut, faithfully constructed by a carpenter in the old craftsmanship, Rolf Galster in Gottmadingen, Southwest Germany, creates an overwhelming resonance.
