Cheers Trev & Sue, we’ll worth a visit next time you’re this way and Pam & Billy are fabulous hosts. Hope you’re both well and looking forward to catching up in the Summer. Take care, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi Helen and Dave what an amazing spot and equally lovely site it’s the sort of place we enjoy as well but having the boys means we wouldn’t easily be able to go! It’s great to find somewhere so peaceful you can switch off and relax and your cottage looked fantastic and spotlessly clean bet it was strange not having the caravan with you hope Bella had a good time! I would be like you Dave on the ghost ship 😂😂 all the best to you both Daniel
Hi Daniel, hope you’re well and thanks as always for watching. It really was all that you’ve described and we thoroughly enjoyed it, (Ghost ships a plenty)🍺🍺 Best wishes to you all. Helen & Dave 👍
Hi Graham, it really is an idyllic place and we will certainly be back. I actually enjoyed the Southwold, nice pint but Ghost Ship is still my tipple of choice. I also enjoy a London Pride from time to time. 🍺 Cheers 🍺Dave & Helen ☺️
Great vlog as always we will definitely pay a visit in the near future - surprised Helen let you getaway with the subliminal message on the pub bar mat 😂 looking forward to your next adventure- Karen and Steve 👍
Hi Karen & Steve, you won’t be disappointed if you get along to Poppyland👍. Must see you’re much more observant than me, just asked Belen if she spotted anything and she said yes, To Helles and back, that would be great in the van😂 she didn’t say anything to me though. Hope you’re both well. Best wishes, Helen & Dave
Barbs, it's lovely at Puddleduck, we love it there. If you're worried about buying, see if you can get an independent surveyor to have a look once you have found one you like. You need to make sure you have a full service history and also damp survey too. A mobile service engineer mat be worth asking to look for you for a small fee.
Hi Dave & Jane, thanks very much indeed, we appreciate your support. Lovely place and somewhere we wouldn’t hesitate to return to. Thanks again, Helen & Dave 👍
We’ve been caravanning for 40 years but have now given up due to advanced age! We’re still members of both clubs and have tried out their glamping facilities as we still like staying on sites. Living in Lincolnshire we come to Norfolk often and after seeing your video we have managed to get 5 nights at Puddleduck Cottage in September. We’ve been subscribers for quite a long time and enjoy your vlogs which we still watch as we can’t quite give up the caravanning life! We mentioned you to Pam when we spoke to her on the phone so many thanks for not taking your van to Poppyland. Jo & Peter
Hi Jo & Peter, delighted you've booked in at Puddleduck. You won't be disappointed, Pam & Billy are lovely. We hope the weather stays fine and you have the most enjoyable break. Stay tuned and thanks for your support. Best wishes, Helen & Dave
Hi Dave. I just love poppy land. Lovely place We are away at the moment in our van. We have just enjoyed a lovely fresh soup made by my wife in her soup maker inspired by’ Cooking with Dave’. I look forward to the next great video. Best wishes to you and Helen.
Hi Greg, fantastic!! We hope you’re having a great time. The soup maker comes with us on most trips, get a nice soup in less than half hour 👍 Poppyland is a fab place and one we will be returning too. Stay tuned and stay safe! Helen & Dave 👍
Hi guys loving that cottage, i love ducks lol. Hope helens feeling better and your not overdoing things. Hope to see you out in the van soon. Take care xx
Hi Julie, it really was a comfortable and cosy cottage, just what we needed. Nice to do something a little different. Helen continues to put on a brave face but does very well tbh. We did a trip away in the van the week before this but didn’t get the camera out for a change. Hope you’re keeping well and thanks for your ongoing support. ATB, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi there Angela & Wayne, thanks very much for watching and your lovely comment. If you are this way then we can really recommend it. Pam & Billy, the owners, are lovely and nothings too much trouble for them. Best wishes, Helen & Dave
Hi Helen and Dave, well this looks a lovely campsite and the Cottage is so sweet, loved the look around the facilities of the site and the tour of the cottage. Very informative just what we like. Think we will add this one to our book. Hope Helen is doing ok, sending hugs, take care and enjoy your Sunday x Julie and Tony x
Hi Julie & Tony, happy Sunday to you. Please let us know if you head this way, it would be lovely to have a little catch up. If you are in Norfolk this is the perfect base, a great sun trap and very peaceful. Take care, Helen & Dave 👍
@@HelenandDave we are coming to Norfolk to Sandy Gulls on the 26th April for 3 nights, or Foxhills in July 12th for 3 nights, would be lovely to catch up xx
What a lovely place. Loved the campervans. We had 3 VW' s and a Ford Transit. We miss the VW's but not the Transit. Our first VW was a 1968 Devon. Some happy holidays in those
Hi Dave and Helen, what a beautiful little site and cottage. Definitely looks like one for the list of sites to stay in Norfolk. Great vlog, thank you. Cheers Terry.
Lovely cottage and the area seems very compatible. Wonderful experience I love your tours showing the UK in a very different way from other travel shows. Enjoyable ❤
Hi Dave & Helen Thanks to you we where there last year great site fantastic hosts. We are there again this cheers hope you are both well . Joe & Tracey
Hello Helen Dave and Bella. What a fantastic looking site, I have never been to Norfolk but when i do get to visit i will stay on this site. Thanks for all the information take care John
Hi John, plenty to see and do in Norfolk especially in this part, so close to Sheringham and Cromer and not too far to Norwich and the Broads. Well worth a visit. Thanks for watching. Helen & Dave
Morning Helen and Dave. Looks a lovely little site, we will have to give it a try. We are currently away ourselves in Norfolk at Deer’s Mead a sister site of Deer’s Glade. This one is adults only - lovely and peaceful. Would highly recommended. All the best to you both, Matt & Mark.
Hi Matt & Mark, we know Dears Mead, it's actually just around the corner from Poppyland so you're not far away from there. A lovely part of Norfolk. Hope you're having a great time. Best wishes, Helen & Dave
Love Poppyland we’ve been a couple of times now - thanks to you two telling us all about it. First time seeing inside the cottage which as you say is immaculate. Happy travels guys. Carol & Kenny 🥰😎
Hi Carol & Kenny, thanks for watching. Most people who go there tend to return. Like you we really love this little gem of a place and Puddleduck Cottage is an added bonus. Take care, Helen & Dave
Hi Jason, handy for you and we don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The owners are great and they’ve covered all bases. Best wishes to you, stay tuned. Helen & Dave 👍
Hello Alison & Keith, the owners take such pride in the place, it's a great little find and somewhere we will visit time and time again. Best wishes to you both. Helen & Dave
Nice to bump into you again, we have been wanting to stay at Poppylands for some time, so we saw the nice weather window at the weekend and made the booking. It is very much everything you have said and Pam and Bill are lovely people and obviously work hard to maintain the entire site and facilities in immaculate condition in such a wonderful setting. As you say, the birdsong in the mornings is to behold, although one morning it was interrupred by a racket from what I think was an old Crow( must consult an ornithology book) who seemed to take exception at a couple of very elderly gentlemen having a conversation in the middle of the site in mid morning! Definitely a site to come back to repeatedly, good dog walk and a bus stop at the entrance to the driveway., peaceful setting, what more could you want.
Hi Both, great to see you again. Of course this comment put a smile on our faces. Bird watching at Poppyland is another great pastime. Glad you enjoyed it, that whole area is also a fabulous sun trap so worth getting back in the summer. Catch you again soon. Helen & Dave
Just like you because we have a caravan, we are not tied to it, particularly in the winter. We rent Delny Highland Lodges in Invergordon and just go to the Scottish Highlands, with that as a base in the campervan. There March £316 for a week for up to 5 people, highly recommend it. Site is beautiful, lake, streams, trees, deer, Highland cattle and not forgetting Kevin the Goose. Run by an extremely pleasant Polish couple for Hoseasons. A great escape with no towing. Escape to Benidorm now and again as well for a bit of sun, when our vitamin D levels are low and we are sick of the constant rain and cold here. F reg was 1968. My first car was a F reg Mark 1 Ford Escort NDN 8F completely worn out. Removed the engine, changed the big ends, main bearings and piston rings in our garage after a rebore to keep it on the road lol
Steve, that sounds idyllic. We love the highlands and always fancied a lodge, will explore further, good price too. Blimey my first car was a ford escort K reg 1972. Good little runner but needed a bit of choke on cold mornings 👍
@HelenandDave The price I quoted was March. Obviously it is more expensive as the season progresses but by then, when it gets warmer, I want to be in the caravan.
Poppyland looks lovely and Puddleduck cottage ideal for my sister and dog to join us. We have an annexe for our awning but it isn’t ideal whereas this would be a perfect arrangement. I’ve never seen such a clean oven other than a brand new one. I’d like to know their secret.
Hi Sandra, this would be ideal for you all. I know, the cottage, just like the rest of the place with immaculate. Thanks for watching. Best wishes, Helen & Dave
Morning, we would love to but it’s not going to happen for the foreseeable because Bella has a severe reaction to injections/vaccinations so we can’t take her abroad and she would be very distressed if we left her in kennels. So not just now. Really fancy a trip to Southern Spain though 👍
Superb Vlog and what a fabulous CL. It should be nominated for CL of the year. Take care both of you and have a good season 😉👍🏻🚙🚐 Trev n Sue
