It is the shadows, they toured without Bruce for a period of time with Alan Hawkshaw on keyboard instead. Brian Bennet is on drums and the great and late John Rostill on Bass.
It's not too hard, most of it is just repetitive patterns. I've learnt 5 Shadows songs on guitar and wonderful land was one of the easiest ones I learnt
What did you want them to do ,mime to the original record? They couldn’t do that because Bruce Welch had left the Shadows in 1968 ,so they wouldn’t have been allowed to mime to a track with Bruce playing.
@@peterwilliamson2488 that's not live anyway as a couple of notes Hank is using a volume pedal and there's not one near his feet! Of course they can mime to a track Bruce was on. They mimed to their tunes during the sixties that various members had recorded but had left the group.
Agreed Bruce would add to the mix greatly….insipid? I guess that is subjective and wholly dependent on the listener. I for one quite like this version as an alternative. My fav version being the one without strings, this is because the drum break is far more powerful in that version.
This is a lovely performance.
My fav Shadows song of all time - by Jerry Lordan, I think.
Fantastic love to hear it of all time.x😅❤
Superb
O. I love this song so much that l. Crie!!
❤ Quanto bello questo brano, proprio come Hank Marvin che suona la chitarra elettrica alla meraviglia ❤❤❤
One of the best song of all time Lynn 😅🎉❤
Released in Feb 1962 and remained at Number One for 6 weeks
Wonderful!
Still sound good ❤😅
TEMAZO!!!...
Absolutely brilliant, I love this 💖
Great video. Greetings from Chile
wonderful!
Playing it a step slower than the original studio version
the greatest
So good ❤
Not the shadows just Hank. not a patch on The Shadows version

No Bruce Welch unfortunately!
Klingt irgendwie komisch. Ist das verlangsamt??
I want to play it but people tell me it's hard to play it ??

Isn't Hank tremolo guitar not working ?
I believe it's pre-recording
Baldwin guitars , later to become Burns,
Wasn't it the other way round?
You could be right Chris.
Burns guitars renamed Baldwin.
@@chrisst8922 I think they were Burns originally, taken over by Baldwin but later became Burns again.
I had a Baldwin Jazz which I replaced with a newer Burns Marquis.
This is not the 'original' version. It's a re-recording for the Cliff show and poor by comparison
No echo for start
And slow@@vlayco33

@@vlayco33 There is echo, but its very "weak". But you can hear it if you have decent speakers or a headset.
Better with strings and a Strat and no effects pedal.
Shadows without Bruce Welch
Very slow version…🤔
Slow but we all can dream from a Wonderful Land
A pale imitation of the original. Lacks Strats, echo/reverb, Bruce.
The worst sound. They miss Bruce Welch on rhythm. Insipid.
