even in 2022 you can still realise that endymion was part of the best hardcore ever made ! we are in 2022 and this one still rocking on any point ! the theme is introduced so nicely and when the kick drop ! it sound even more brutal than the actual hardcore ! those guys was hardcore genious no doubt about it !
Spot on! Millennium hardcore and darkcore (especially the Enzyme stuff) is part of the golden age of hardcore gabber. The transition period between late 90’s gabber and 00’s slower but darker (and more techno influenced) hardcore really reflects the core elements of good gabber music. Nowadays you’ve only got that generic uptempo kick that is used in every single song. Sadly, only terrorcore (which is also fantastic) remains an example of good pure gabber music evolution.
