Why does every lt80 I see lately have the rear tires up front and the fronts on the rear? The rear tires understeer like the front end is off the ground and the fronts have no latiral traction. I don't get it.
Adding oil to your gasoline actually leans your jetting.. your jets only pass, let’s say one drop of gasoline on every stroke. Each drop is 100% gasoline. The machine is jetted to run on drops that are 100% gasoline by adding oil to the gasoline. You have displaced an unknown percentage of gasoline in every drop. So you have gone lean on your jetting… I rode raced motorcycles for eight years, I won six championships, two time national champion. I have seen quite a few racers that thought they were helping their engine out by adding extra oil to their premix, only to go out and sees their engine because they have gone to lean on the jetting by doing that.. One guy broke both ankles and one wrist at Daytona because his jetting was too lean.. The leaner your jetting, the higher the engine temperature. The lower the elevation, the more Air there is in the air. So you have to go to Rich on jetting at sea level, and lean on jetting in a place like Denver Colorado.. I used to take barometric pressure readings and adjust my jetting with that in consideration as well as temperature and elevation.. another thing you are doing by adding oil to your gasoline when you already have an injector for the oil.. you are lowering the octane rating of the gas. Oil does not burn in two-stroke engines. That’s why you can see it coming out the exhaust. You need a compression ratio above 14 to 1 or higher to actually burn oil like a diesel engine does.. so I would suggest, stop thinking, and just go by the factory specifications. They know a little more about it than you do..
The tenth digit or letter depending on the year, will tell you the year of the vehicle. 1987-H, 1988-J, 89-K, 90-L, 91-M, 92-N, 93-P, 94-R, 95-S, 96-T, 97-V, 98-W, 99-X, 2000-Y, 01-1. Cheers.
1999 holds value higher then all the other yrs espec w this paint sceme/ color. 99 2000 2001 hold higher values, and not sure why. The blue/ white/ purple color top price.
Nathan Ocampo You can take the pump off and hook it up to a drill to see if it still pumps or premix the fuel in the tank with oil and while it is running pull off the hose running to the carb.
From the factory they went between 28mph to 32mph depending on the year with the restrictions in place. Older quads were faster due to different final drive ratio than the newer ones if I remember right. Removing the exhaust restriction plate and the throttle limiter in the carb will net you more. They can be built to hit 12000+ rpm and I believe 58mph.
My friend has one of those AND I LOVE IT I WANT ONE SOOO BAD
good for you
Could you tell me where the black and white wire goes from the battery the one with the loop on

Ok thanks
How do you know if your oil mixer is working ?
Nathan Ocampo You can take the pump off and hook it up to a drill to see if it still pumps or premix the fuel in the tank with oil and while it is running pull off the hose running to the carb.
I used to have one.
Is there a power band in it or no
Not really...not like a 2 stroke bike
What's the mixture ratio
Not sure it's auto mix also it's a mid to late 90s
1999
ive got one and it was broken then we got it rebuilt
I have this quad in the same colour
1999 this color holds more value then all the rest w except of 2000, 2001, in decent shape. Holds close to original value
I have one too
what gas does it take ?
Diesel
But mine is restored
And year
What year is it from? 2003?
how fast can it go as i have one and want to know what the top speed
DJ JRB REMIXS goes up to 40 mph
7 km/h
