That was some shitty driving. You don't floor it like that on ice, it will heat up the surface and make it even worse. Amateur hour, can't believe these guys get paid so much for such a fun job and do it poorly.
Downshift downshift downshift, ebrake, throttle,.. hard.. But most were downshift, brake, brake, downshift, late ebrake, more brake, then late throttle.. and that’s why that corner ended up with so many in the wall.. 6:49 almost did it.
Can’t believe people didn’t try to warn drivers on that sheet ice corner, and then cheer with delight when a car crashes which destroys their rally, I don’t understand it. Also standing directly behind run off areas is just idiotic, and it’s only a matter of time till these rally cars are banned because of the stupidity of the so called fans. Will end up with no spectators allowed on the stages which will spoil it for everybody.
alot of people standing in the wrong side of the road , here in argentina they canceled alot of stages for that but in montecarlo they dont say anything...
1:50 Feel bad for the driver, if he would have hit reverse he would have been out there in 2 seconds, but instead he tried to keep it in a constant slide to turn around faster and it wound up knocking him out of the race. Bummer for him.
must be so frustrating for the drivers finding their cars sliding sideways at 5mph causing a lot of damage when they scrape along the rocky cliff. All that power under their right foot, and they cant use any of it.
@@infiltr80r This is a race, not a "who makes it slowest to the finish line" type a deal. If it's dry at the lower stages, drive with more aggressive tires there, so you can make it through the race and not total your machine midway? There might be some regulations about this, but if there aren't it's just a bad call from these teams.
@@sashoxxx They obviously knew the conditions. You can't change tires mid-day. So you need to choose if you either do spikes throughout or almost slicks throughout. They made their choice.
@@infiltr80r That's what Im saying. Their choices were poor, which is quite obvious; Get more aggressive tires for the dry stage and you will be fast and most likely make it overall;

I cannot understand how are they so bad at this. Watching this feels like I am watching bunch of kids driving first time on snow and ice, and those night shots are so stupid, they drive like my grandma. This is so sad😢😔 P.S. Learn not to brake in corners!!!!
