@@antoniodiaz3819 Eso era antes, en su momento los fans tuvieron que parchearlo con actualizaciones no oficiales, a día de hoy tengo entendido que ya hay una actualización oficial que arregla todos los problemas (no estoy seguro) pero sí que es verdad que cuando salió para PC, fue bastante cutre por no decir desastroso. No creo que haya problemas al jugar Nier en PC.

It is very solid, this is my first time playing it and it looks fantastic. We have this and Xenoblade 3 the same year, switch games are looking better and better. Hopefully P5R looks just as good if not better.
Pretty happy with this. Performance mostly solid, image quality while a little softer, looks cleaner and less aliased. Most obvious drawback is textures.
Right I agree it’s basically what we come to expect from a Switch port with the dialed back textures and lighting and shadows. But frankly this exceeds expectations in terms of holding solid performance compared to other “impossible ports”
Right? I have the PS4 version, and I'm getting the Switch version so I can play this on the go. This comparison video shows what an amazing job Virtuos did, these guys know how to optimize for Switch as evidenced by their previous efforts. Sure, it might not look as good as the PS4 version, but it still looks stunning, plus the frame rate is rock steady. It proves that with the right people in charge, you can still create wonderful ports like this one.
Textures and pop in. Thankfully textures aren’t as noticable when you’re further from the object or your focus is on something else. Pop in is the one thing that I always notice though.

Para una portátil del 2017 de Nintendo, que se consiga estos resultados con juegos de sobremesa me explota la cabeza. Si , no es perfecto, pero dime tú si en la época de la GBA podías jugar la misma versión de los juegos de PS2 o cube. Me vuela la cabeza

Muy buen Port que seguro va a caer. Para mí el primer puesto lo sigue teniendo el plantas vs zombies junto al alien isolation. El plantas tiene mejores sombras que la versión de xbox y el alien mejor calidad de imagen que sus competidoras

Ahora que comentas lo de las sombras, una cosa de la que no se suele hablar, es de que mientras sus competidoras usan hardware y software AMD, Nintendo usa NVIDIA, que suele ser mejor en software en todas las generaciones. Tengo muchas ganas de que salga la Switch 2, en temas de efectos visuales y reescalado pueden ser muy curiosas las comparativas, con sus competidoras, que son AMD.

El juego es una maravilla, pero más en lo artístico, jugable y narrativo que en lo puramente técnico, asi que me alegro que hayan hecho un port notable.
Cierto pero como dueño de una switch, creo que por $300 o $350 dependiendo de cual modelo tengas de las hibrida. ya va siendo hora de que nintendo le meta mas caña al la memoria ram y a su GPU y dejarnos de conformismo. o si no que reconcideren su precio, aunque eso si nunca lo haran. Aunque me alegra aunque sea un milenio desoues que salga este juego aunque no bajo las condiciones que originalemnte lo juegue, pero es un juegazo.

los sacrificios en la zona abierta están ahí, con muy poca distancia de dibujado. Pero aún así me parece flipante como corre este port en comparació a lo q la mayoria hacen

That's funny. People don't actually watch the video, they just check the numbers. Yeah, maybe switch is getting 1080p using temporal upscaling, but it looks way blurrier than native 900p on ps4, which means that internal resolution is actually lower on switch, but there are still many comments of people being surprised by switch getting higher resolution. Please, watch the video, we are living in postprocessing era, where raw numbers don't provide you with sufficient information about image quality

I'm just stating the fact that people don't actually pay attention to what is actually happening, it is clearly stated that 1080p is achieved via temporal reconstruction, which means that it's not 1080p, but people are genuinely shocked by switch overperforming ps4 in resolution numbers, which is not actually the case and is very clearly shown in the video, but all they are interested in is numbers, you can check comments yourself. You are just proving my point, you don't see the blurriness, you don't see temporal reconstruction template(which can mean anything from 540p)

i'm a bit torn on what to buy, i have and xbox series s and a switch and i'm thinking about buying this game on one of those consoles. the portability and the extra costumes sounds really nice for the switch version but the hit on the frame rate is also a bit of a turnoff. i don't mind if the visuals have a downgrade but that lack of 60fps is kind of what's making it hard for me to decide.
This is proof that in the right hands, the Switch can, in fact, handle a PS4 port just fine and dandy. I'm amazed, while there are some downgrades in textures in some cases and draw in/pop up is indeed a more frequent thing, the game still looks ridiculously good. I'm excited to get this, I can live with slight downgrades to the graphics so long as the game is playable and in this case, it looks extremely playable.

The PS4 version definitely looks better, but the Switch version looks pretty decent for a handheld, the only thing lacking is the framerate being 30fps but at least it's locked. (I still find it funny how they chose to run the Switch version at a higher resolution than the PS4 version because honestly I would prefer the Switch version to run at 720p/60fps or at least have an option to choose from)
Sometimes game is cpu dependant. So i doesn't matter if it's 1080p or 720p you wont get higher framerate with that game. So they upping the visual quality becauss there's still room for the GPU load.
Honestly aside from textures and shadows, the Switch Port looks better, weirdly, which shows how much art direction can do. Even with textures, some of the very sharp grass textures don't look right on the PS4 version, whereas the blurrier ones being less distinct actually makes everything blend better - but also the general colouring and lighting leans more towards a unified aesthetic.
TAA is crap and blurs the image and introduces ghosting. MSAA is much better, it cleans up the image while keeping it crisp, and is used in ps4 pro version and one x version. But console peasants don't know any better so to them TAA does wonder but it's considered puke (rightfully so) by the educated PC community

I wish they'd make a Switch 2 already with RDNA graphics...the Switch has great content by Japanese devs but it really needs some extra horsepower, and current tech would easily make it possible to do better
Surprised at just how stable the Switch version is, looks very rock solid. I was honestly kind of expecting massive frame drops when the action heated up or the graphics to be seriously compromised, but no, it looks pretty good for the platform its on. Perhaps if they used FSR on this version it would look a tad bit nicer, but its good enough as is.
@@Pneuma6969 Yup! It's honestly a miracle The Witcher 3 made it to the Switch, and sure it doesn't look great, its still a pretty impressive technical achievement. Nier Automata I feel is also one of those very impressive Switch ports that manages to run decently.

bit too much for me as the game is already lite in the graphics department so I'd kinda hate for it to be sullied any more, but i guess for switch owners and the power of that handheld it's solid enough, if texture quality was just a little higher it would be pretty decent, idk why they always essentially turn textures off or completely remove them in switch games, especially makes the fact they are down ports obvious or gives games this unfinished look like textures aren't loading in, wonder if it's to save on cartridge space/sizes

@@wogardrodriguez9699 Nier Replicant no es un juego reciente, al menos hasta donde sé, ya que es un juego del 2010, si te refieres a su remasterización o remake (no sé cual de los dos hicieron), es posible que se pueda portear, eso sí, harán lo mismo que hicieron Autómata, se verá muy bien, aunque si pudieran remasterizar una versión para Switch, sería interesante tomando en cuenta que Nier Replicant es del 2010 como he dicho.

Muito bom, esse vídeo até me deixa confuso: não sei se ela revela o que todos já sabemos (que o switch é mais fraco e sua resolução é inferior, evidentemente) ou se o ps4 não é tão poderoso assim (mas apenas possui uma resolução maior, e claro um tanto de poder, mas nada tão significativo) (ver aquela construção de cenário ocorrendo tanto no ps4 e switch, me faz pensar que gastar mais para ter praticamente a mesma coisa me faz sentir enganado).
I don't think it's the lighting, it's basically the same. The color palette is different on the Switch. A bit more colorful, but enough to change the overall aesthetics. If anything it shows how this art style looks more pleasant with more colorful textures.

Podrá tener texturaz de baja calidad frente a la versión de ps4, pero no me deja de impresionar lo bien que lo hace esta portátil, siendo del 2017, solo decir (wow). It may have low quality textures versus the ps4 version, but it never fails to impress me how well this laptop does, being from 2017, just say (wow).
That thing might be internally rendering at 540p with upscaler to 1080p thanks to FSR 1.0. It looks blurry AF, not to mention the lower than low graphic preset and only 30fps with dips

Jugar nier automata en portatil va a ser una de las mejores experiencias, el port se ve bien gracias al esfuerzo de los desarrolladores.

That's funny. People don't actually watch the video, they just check the numbers. Yeah, maybe switch is getting 1080p using temporal upscaling, but it looks way blurrier than native 900p on ps4, which means that internal resolution is actually lower on switch, but there are still many comments of people being surprised by switch getting higher resolution.
Please, watch the video, we are living in postprocessing era, where raw numbers don't provide you with sufficient information about image quality

@Shouldfire I have nothing against people being happy, I'd say more I'm quite fascinated by this port, it's an amazing game and it's great that people get to experience it on switch. I'm just stating the fact that people don't actually pay attention to what is actually happening, it is clearly stated that 1080p is achieved via temporal reconstruction, which means that it's not 1080p, but people are genuinely shocked by switch overperforming ps4 in resolution numbers, which is not actually the case and is very clearly shown in the video, but all they are interested in is numbers, you can check comments yourself. You are just proving my point, you don't see the blurriness, you don't see temporal reconstruction template(which can mean anything from 540p)

i'm a bit torn on what to buy, i have and xbox series s and a switch and i'm thinking about buying this game on one of those consoles. the portability and the extra costumes sounds really nice for the switch version but the hit on the frame rate is also a bit of a turnoff. i don't mind if the visuals have a downgrade but that lack of 60fps is kind of what's making it hard for me to decide.

This is proof that in the right hands, the Switch can, in fact, handle a PS4 port just fine and dandy. I'm amazed, while there are some downgrades in textures in some cases and draw in/pop up is indeed a more frequent thing, the game still looks ridiculously good. I'm excited to get this, I can live with slight downgrades to the graphics so long as the game is playable and in this case, it looks extremely playable.

The PS4 version definitely looks better, but the Switch version looks pretty decent for a handheld, the only thing lacking is the framerate being 30fps but at least it's locked.
(I still find it funny how they chose to run the Switch version at a higher resolution than the PS4 version because honestly I would prefer the Switch version to run at 720p/60fps or at least have an option to choose from)
I think they went with 1080p 30fps because they couldn't get close to 60fps on a lower resolution.
It's not actually a higher resolution, it's probably temporally reconstructing from a lower resolution (ps4 version is way more sharp)
@@jermainewright1757 it is essentially handheld still -It has a mobile SoC. Samsung phones can be docked too, you wont call that a PC.
They sacrificed framerates because it's more taxing on the CPU than resolution.
The Switch is purposely underclocked to save on battery.
Sometimes game is cpu dependant. So i doesn't matter if it's 1080p or 720p you wont get higher framerate with that game. So they upping the visual quality becauss there's still room for the GPU load.

Honestly aside from textures and shadows, the Switch Port looks better, weirdly, which shows how much art direction can do. Even with textures, some of the very sharp grass textures don't look right on the PS4 version, whereas the blurrier ones being less distinct actually makes everything blend better - but also the general colouring and lighting leans more towards a unified aesthetic.
Gotta say this is an impressive port! You get almost identical ps4 experience on a handheld.

Temporal does wonders
TAA is crap and blurs the image and introduces ghosting. MSAA is much better, it cleans up the image while keeping it crisp, and is used in ps4 pro version and one x version. But console peasants don't know any better so to them TAA does wonder but it's considered puke (rightfully so) by the educated PC community

Surprised at just how stable the Switch version is, looks very rock solid. I was honestly kind of expecting massive frame drops when the action heated up or the graphics to be seriously compromised, but no, it looks pretty good for the platform its on. Perhaps if they used FSR on this version it would look a tad bit nicer, but its good enough as is.

@@Pneuma6969 Yup! It's honestly a miracle The Witcher 3 made it to the Switch, and sure it doesn't look great, its still a pretty impressive technical achievement. Nier Automata I feel is also one of those very impressive Switch ports that manages to run decently.

bit too much for me as the game is already lite in the graphics department so I'd kinda hate for it to be sullied any more, but i guess for switch owners and the power of that handheld it's solid enough, if texture quality was just a little higher it would be pretty decent, idk why they always essentially turn textures off or completely remove them in switch games, especially makes the fact they are down ports obvious or gives games this unfinished look like textures aren't loading in, wonder if it's to save on cartridge space/sizes

@@wogardrodriguez9699 Nier Replicant no es un juego reciente, al menos hasta donde sé, ya que es un juego del 2010, si te refieres a su remasterización o remake (no sé cual de los dos hicieron), es posible que se pueda portear, eso sí, harán lo mismo que hicieron Autómata, se verá muy bien, aunque si pudieran remasterizar una versión para Switch, sería interesante tomando en cuenta que Nier Replicant es del 2010 como he dicho.

Muito bom, esse vídeo até me deixa confuso: não sei se ela revela o que todos já sabemos (que o switch é mais fraco e sua resolução é inferior, evidentemente) ou se o ps4 não é tão poderoso assim (mas apenas possui uma resolução maior, e claro um tanto de poder, mas nada tão significativo) (ver aquela construção de cenário ocorrendo tanto no ps4 e switch, me faz pensar que gastar mais para ter praticamente a mesma coisa me faz sentir enganado).

I don't think it's the lighting, it's basically the same. The color palette is different on the Switch. A bit more colorful, but enough to change the overall aesthetics. If anything it shows how this art style looks more pleasant with more colorful textures.
