Hi guys! Here are just a few days last week where I hit a few cafes and am getting out of my house more and more! Summer is officially here in Seoul and I am most definitely not prepared. As I am writing this, it is 27C (75F) and its not even noon. Great. But on the bright side, the days are longer and the sunsets are WILD! Today it’s been 63 days since I’m in quarantine here in Italy. In May I was supposed to leave for Seoul and spend a month there, but of course it didn’t happen. Watching your videos helps me a looot, it's reminds me that Seoul is there, no one will move the city, it's still there (does it make sense?).

I was meant to visit Korea for Golden Week, so in an alternative universe I am exploring Seoul right now 💭Instead, I have been rewatching a lot of your vlogs and have so many more ideas of places to visit and explore when I can eventually get there! Korean bakerys look cool. Here in Germany they look mostly oldschool lie 90s-style with mostly not even a place to sit or if than you sit on very old furniture. Its mostly places where where you have to ask the cashier what you want to buy so they pack it for you. If a bakery looks better than mostly just cause its one of these chains where they sell cheap stuff that you pick out yourself (most of these places have a more industrial look with modern furniture)
the thing i’ve missed most during quarantine is cafes :’) this was fulfilling and so lovely
Such a lovely cafe montage, the visual + instrumental combo was top notch. 🥰 Also, it’s 105f where I’m at and won’t dip below 95 for a while - the joys of living in a desert loool. I wake up at 5 just to enjoy the 75 degree weather before it vanishes entirely in a month 😅

you don't need specific acrylic paper for painting acrylics! so long as it has the weight you want eg more than 80/90gsm (printer paper) acrylic works on most papers what you want to look for is whether its cold or hot press. hot press is smoother with a tighter and cold is the typical watercolour paper roughness but even then these both come in variations via brands and types of paper within the brand. Also cold or hot press will have a big difference in how the paint will work and look after it is dried! I paint in watercolour or gouache and I prefer hot press paper usually 240-300gsm is warm tones but its really artist choice. If he likes canvas tell him to try out watercolour paper as both will have that lumpy texture also alternatively if he is hating it get some gesso to prime the canvas with! makes it all smooth. Anyway sorry if you already know this and I just sound condescending! your guys art is beautiful and I wish I could get back into loving it as much as you both seem to!

It's so true what you said about the Han River. My mom was born in Korea and when she visited more than 30 years later for the first time since leaving in the 80's, she commented that the Gangnam area was literally just wild unsettled land and that nobody went on that side of the river. She said if you wanted to cross the river back then it would take upwards of 2 hours!!!
I wish we had such beautiful cafes here, so beautiful to spend the time, read, draw, and get into such an atmosphere. Your videos are so good and warm. I like how you appreciate the little things and nature, keep going :)🌟🌟
