Hello this band started with me in 1968 before that they were the Surfers with a completely different lineup altho' when I joined them the name was still the Surfers but only for 6 mths then became the October Cherries writting original materials
I found this by accident and I must say that I think that I've found myself a new favorite band! Their music is fabulous and I find that it opens up my memory bank to a more peaceful time. Thank you for posting this great music!
@robbink57 Still not too late to realise. Yes TH-cam is the place for ppl of our age group. So, why not OC, The Strollers & the like ? Yeah, jamming, cycling to school, listening to records and the transistor radio ..... sounds familiar. Thanks for dropping in.

Keith, you are really something! This song is also on October Cherries's It's a Beautiful Day album. I've found the cassette tape (minus the cover!)and would send it to you in due course to play around with. i regretted not buying the CD.
To be honest this was when I joined them we got into original music by us 1969 onwards to 1974 when Peter Diaz walked out on us during our concert in Mumbai that's how we broke up

The October Cherries were as good as anything from out west...in fact better than many..We didn't hear much of them because for a time they were in Germany or at least out of SG. They had a very "professional " sound .

How popular were they back in the 70's? Lived in Singapore for 5 years and my parents loved The Cherries. So I don't know if they are the same one's.
