Just for clarification, Mr. Lennon abandoned his first wife and son Julian as soon as he met Yoko. He left them with nothing. His ex (Julian's Mother) was so broke after their divorce that she sold "love letters" that John had written her for money. She received a large sum for those letters. Hey really nice reaction, it’s great you can be open to great and meaningful beauty from different directions. That’s big -feel grateful for that ☺️ I’ve spent 50 years in the art world in NYC (I very much, of course, remember the night he died; I cried hard the next day, it took that long to really sink in) and whenever a friend or relative visited who had no idea about the art world, I’d say “Don’t worry about that at all” when I’d take em to a museum or performance: “just look and listen and notice how it makes you FEEL - that’s the ONLY thing that matters.” It’s everything. “Imagine” was a global smash hit, the lyrics and sentiment took people’s breath away. (You can see from some comments here that it STILL makes some unimaginative or religious people angry after half a century!) The tragic irony is that it’s this song, the lyric “no religion too”, that triggered that religious maniac (he said so) to travel all the way from Hawaii? Seattle? (I forget which) to find and kill him. One of John’s incredible gifts was, like this song, his melodies could be both surprisingly simple and impossibly beautiful: you want to sing along the first time you hear them - and you CAN! (Bob Marley is like this too) I can PROMISE every one of these will knock your socks off by their astonishing beauty: “Oh Yoko” “Jealous Guy” “Dear Prudence” “Don’t Let Me Down” “Happy Christmas (War is Over)” “Beautiful Boy” (for his son Sean who was 5yo when John died) ♥️ Even though this next one is Paul McCartney’s song from the Beatles Abbey Road album, you absolutely, positively, have to listen to “Oh Darling” - your mind will be blown sky high!
OMG 😢😢😢 This song is so powerful. The lyrics are sadly more relevant today than when Mr Lennon wrote, recorded and released it. It’s a beautiful song. 📌 Pentatonix has a BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL cover of it. Actually it’s the video that makes it so special.

Starting Over and then... no more. *cries*
This always makes me cry as soon as the music starts... ❤
I'm so glad of your reaction. This is indeed one of the most beautiful songs ever written.
Que gran regalo nos dejó John.

“Watching The Wheels”
Literally one of the best song writers of all time. “Imagine” is a world wide classic song.
with you on 'Watching the wheels'
A very thought-provoking song! Great reaction.
The lyrics to”Working Class Hero” are brutal and relevant.

🎵"As soon as you're born, they make you feel small,
By giving you no time, instead of it all..."🎵 ...
(A poem...)
'Man of his time, ahead of his time, and for all time.
John spoke for himself, of himself, by himself, yet, for us all...
He was taken, sent from us by cruel insanity. Forever lost to us...
And we're no longer free,
Free to see. Free to love.
His intelligence, wit, wordplay, songs, now reside "above".
John Winston Lennon, R.I.P.
We loved you then, and you _will_ forever be
In our hearts, in our long memory.
John Lennon. John Lennon...' (💕Love, 'B').

Beautiful and timeless
John Lennon Mind Games is another of his best. Imagine is just beautiful and timeless.
You see that look he gives Yoko at the end?.....thats LOVE!
This is one of the most beautiful pieces of art ever written
Love this song!! Never will die.
We lost so much when John was taken. Still heartbroken.
You are so right. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever. ❤️✌️
This song is thought provoking when so many are thoughtless
Always brings a tear😢❤
Mind games is amazing, watching the wheels too. Well done on opening the door to lennon and the Who ❤
In my philosophy class we needed to do a huge term paper on a philosopher and I immediately thought of John Lennon, I was shocked when the professor told me that nobody ever did their term paper on John Lennon..I told him to me that's exactly what he was, I'm glad the professor agreed with me!! I'm 67 so I've followed John Lennon for many years, this song is exactly what the world needs as a world anthem!!
My favorite Beatle R.I.P JOHN
Thank you for bring back this song, i forgot how beautiful this song is💙
Hey really nice reaction, it’s great you can be open to great and meaningful beauty from different directions. That’s big -feel grateful for that ☺️
I’ve spent 50 years in the art world in NYC (I very much, of course, remember the night he died; I cried hard the next day, it took that long to really sink in)
and whenever a friend or relative visited who had no idea about the art world, I’d say “Don’t worry about that at all” when I’d take em to a museum or performance: “just look and listen and notice how it makes you FEEL - that’s the ONLY thing that matters.”
It’s everything.
“Imagine” was a global smash hit, the lyrics and sentiment took people’s breath away. (You can see from some comments here that it STILL makes some unimaginative or religious people angry after half a century!)
The tragic irony is that it’s this song, the lyric “no religion too”, that triggered that religious maniac (he said so) to travel all the way from Hawaii? Seattle? (I forget which) to find and kill him.
One of John’s incredible gifts was, like this song, his melodies could be both surprisingly simple and impossibly beautiful: you want to sing along the first time you hear them - and you CAN!
(Bob Marley is like this too)
I can PROMISE every one of these will knock your socks off by their astonishing beauty:
“Oh Yoko”
“Jealous Guy”
“Dear Prudence”
“Don’t Let Me Down”
“Happy Christmas (War is Over)”
“Beautiful Boy” (for his son Sean who was 5yo when John died)
♥️
Even though this next one is Paul McCartney’s song from the Beatles Abbey Road album, you absolutely, positively, have to listen to “Oh Darling” - your mind will be blown sky high!
Such an important and magical song. So needed in these times. Thank you for this one!! 💕
RIP John Lennon and Alan White (drummer). Too many are gone...
It's beautiful......A Day In the Life is so great
OMG 😢😢😢 This song is so powerful. The lyrics are sadly more relevant today than when Mr Lennon wrote, recorded and released it. It’s a beautiful song.
📌 Pentatonix has a BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL cover of it. Actually it’s the video that makes it so special.
Yeah, John Lennon breaks my heart. He’s so great
This is one of my favorite songs, ever.
This was 10 years before his horrible death at 40.
I can’t help but drop a few tears when I watch this. I’m still devastated especially when you think of what else he could have gifted us.
REVOLUTION by the Beatles to hear John rock out HARD.
I believe this song is supposed to give you the chills.
