As someone who's experienced education in both worlds, I agree completely with your guest. The education we received back home was solid, but it was mostly too theoretical and many of our lecturers were too distant and rigid in the way they interacted with students. If we can adjust our teaching methods to make things a bit more practical, emphasize student research and self-study, insist on critical thinking and encourage better lecturer-student interactions, we'll see much better improvement. Our education is not as bad as some people make it out to be. There's a reason we shine when we come out here. Wishing you both the best your respective endeavors.
