  • In September 2021, we embarked on a 24 day overlanding trip through Botswana!
    After staying for 3 nights at Elephant Sands in Nata, through to Chobe National Park to camp at Ihaha Camp, we are off to Khwai via Savuti.
    We had amazing wildlife experiences with many lions, elephants, buffalo and even a leopard in our camp at Chobe, and heading to Savuti is a drastic change of scenery and abundance of wildlife.
    However, we were not disappointed with Savuti this time, as we encountered some wild dogs on the hunt, and a sweet little African Wild Cat.
    After 2 short nights stay at Savuti, we moved off to Khwai to camp at Magotho, which is one of our favorite and just a mind blowing spot.
    So here is Episode 4, hoping it inspires more people to take the adventure!

      Thank you!
      Yes that wild dog seemed a bot like the runt of the litter. but it was so cool to see how the rest of the pack waited for him and protected him!
      Braai pie is a win for sure!

      Looks like it might be a feral dog with some wild dog genetics.

      Yes also noted the floppy ear doggy which is way out of the norm for wild dogs.
      Will be interesting to find out more about the stray.
      Thanks for the episodes, we’re doing the same route in June 22 so lekka to get some insights.

    How are you guys always successful in finding wildlife such as wilddogs,lion and leopard

    • @EpicAfrica
      @EpicAfrica  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A combination of luck, timing, listening to nature (alarm calls), tracking spoor! I must admit, we do not always spend hours out on a drive because of our kids, so we probably see less than a lot of people!
