What an amazing and uplifting series this is turning out to be in such a sad year. It's almost like having Steve sitting in my front room chatting about guitars. Doesn't get much better than that.
My son plays guitar and is a musician...been playing very good since he was 7. I love this guitar what a beauty and you are very informative and love it.
Very nice and interesting series! Spotted a lovely claddagh ring there... :) I've been busking in Galway and of course your song was always in my setlist. Thank you for all your work. Deeply deeply sorry to hear of all that happened. Sending love from Scotland..
Steve, my belated condolences on your loss. I caught this video last night, you were playing Galway Girl, and I realized what happened when you dedicated it. I'm back tonight to play Galway girl with you...I pulled down a gift Washburn mandolin I havent played in years to get it ready for tonight. Played Galway Girl every St Pat's day with a bunch of hoodlum buddies at whatever place would have us. God Bless You, and Your's. What you do here is an amazing gift,;giving of yourself like we were sitting 6' from you. I know I'm not alone in thanking you for all this effort. I really like how you talk about your instruments, and share the stories of origin, and maker, and their place in musical history. All too cool, Steve. Im gonna rewind and play Galway Girl again!
Man, I just knew it when I heard the tone before you put the capo on - ‘Telephone Road’. So goddamn beautiful! Do you remember if you used it in the studio? Thank you, brother. There’s Bullshit on TV going on in America tonight, then there’s you, showing us your wonderful old archtop. You’re a real American hero, and your art has lit my road for decades. I saw you at the Crest Theater in Sacramento, CA, probably in 1984 or so. There were maybe 50 people there - you opened with ‘Copperhead’ on mandolin. One of those old Gibsons? I’m so sorry about Justin. This sucks. He was just brilliant. He reminded me so much of my little sister, who was tender and took flight so young too. I’m sharing tears with you and your family and holding all of you in the light. Peace & Rock on...
i was in the high desert tonight watering my yard with this album playing... this song came on & brought me back to memories of home, Texas Thank you Steve, still such an inspiration !

It's cool that you also collect the old budget version guitars. I dig the simplicity of them....... Thanks, for playing “Telephone Road.” It's one of my favorite tunes from you, not only because of its musicality, but also because of the memories evoked as it takes me back to growing up in Southeast Houston during the 60's and 70's
Thank you so much for this super great song ''Telephone Road", was watching that music video a couple of times this week and now hearing it live from the Guitar Town studio is amazing ♥

Thank u for all ur knowledge and sharing with us all here. The Gibson u showed us today for being a poor mans guitar to me is stunning. Please take care Steve.
Andy Reiss and I agree and have talked about that L-10 that George Gruhn has. It's an absolutely amazing guitar. It outshines any of the Lloyd Loar L-5 examples I've seen him have there.
Good day Steve, What are you using to produce your videos I see you have on your screen with a live shot in corner plus other on screen tools.thanks when you ever catch up on things .

Was hoping you’d eventually play this song. I live kinda near a portion of Telephone Road, so I think of this song often. One of my favorites.
[Onevof my favorites. Steve is a living breathing inspiration.]
Great stuff.... Well done Steve
Sounds great. Thank you Steve.
I always thought it was interesting that Steve and Rodney both wrote very different songs about telephone road.
Thanks so much Steve.
I lived in various places off Telephone Road in the '50s and '60s. My old man loved the ice houses.
Prayers sent Earle family
Mr. Earle, thank you. ⚓️
Hand in there, Steve. We love you.
Thank u for all ur knowledge and sharing with us all here. The Gibson u showed us today for being a poor mans guitar to me is stunning. Please take care Steve.
Killer guitar, Steve! Looks like it needs a Copperhead Road style, skull and cross bones decal, in the bottom corner of the lower bout!
Andy Reiss and I agree and have talked about that L-10 that George Gruhn has. It's an absolutely amazing guitar. It outshines any of the Lloyd Loar L-5 examples I've seen him have there.
🙏🙏 prayers are with all you.
I love Telephone Road!
Hi Steve, when you are finished with your guitars can you start doing reviews of all of the books you have behind you, thanks.
Love.
Brilliant.
Thank you Bubba. Appreciate it.
Weird little thing I noticed at 1:35. the book that you have open is Carl Jung's "The Red Book", just thought that was interesting
Thank you
Hope your feeling ok Steve
I dont think he is right
My condolences. Best wishes from home. Marion not far from Schertz.
Houston's bout as big as a city can get.
That is cool that the black on Gibson's are from burnt cattle bones
Good day Steve,
What are you using to produce your videos
I see you have on your screen with a live shot in corner plus other on screen tools.thanks when you ever catch up on things .
Good morning mr Steve
Does anyone know what chord Steve plays after the Em? Looks like some kind of D but I'm not sure what it is. Thanks.
Sending a hug to u xx
Sharp Guitar 😀
Can someone give me a dumbed down difference between martins and Gibson’s?
Why don't you have any curtains over the windows
Did I miss something? What happened to Justin?
If electric pickups and jazz hadn't happened the archtop guitar would have gone extinct.
