Honestly I don’t want to run the 800 but I’ll do it win sections. I ran 52.31 in the 400m Friday and I know I can probably run 2:08
You def can go 2:08-2:04 with 52 second 400 speed.

what do you think about about 2 sec differential in the 800m. Or does that just depend on the athlete?
2 sec difference is average for most 800 runners! but some races are different depending on who your racing and the weather.

What do you do for shakeout day before your race?
What’s a good warmup before a meet? 2 laps ? 1 mile ?
I like to do a mile before every practice and track meet but its all preference really

whats more important for the 800. Mile/1500 or 400
400. Can build strength and fitness off of speed. But can’t build much speed off of fitness.

A 400m runner with a bit of aerobic training will make a far better runner than a distance runner trying to gain speed.
