This song is super simple yet very powerful: Only one word of lyrics - and the whole circle is on fire, haha :) "Mariri" is a term used by the Yawanawa people and other indigenous tribes in South America. It refers to the healing spirit of the curandero (healer, shaman) which he can evoke through phlegm (spit), singing (icaro) and other methods.
So, when we sing "mariri", we call up the healing spirit in the circle!!
It's not an original Yawanawa song but a creation that came to me. I feel, though, it's very Yawanawa inspiried. Bless their music and medicine!!
