He had him as a backup (which is already a W, most would cancel the entire event and every fighter then looses on the cards) because he waffled on insta live and there was a little beef there that people could get behind somewhat and make it entertaining to some level more then someone completely random.
The other lad is a Pro fighter with Pro wins, JJ didn’t have a clue about him or the first bloke that was bigger etc but turned out to be a weird donny and he took on both in one night with no possibility to prep for either fighter other then to be confident in his own ability.

For the last time if swarmz was really serious about this he would have started training when he signed the contract not two weeks before the fight. Y’all are acting like he didn’t know anything about this agreement until two weeks before, he knew it was a possibility that Alex would back out and he knew that there was a chance he would be boxing. No excuses for him. And I’m sure jj thought he would’ve started training after he signed the contract therefore having some experience so we can’t blame him for picking an “easy opponent.”

Literally he fought Logan when both had zero previous experience. He worked harder. People expect him to go straight to Jake when he is more active has trained more and longer currently. Pineda is a journeyman boxer, only brought in to hold the event together. He only came for a payday and was essentially paid to loose, dude never countered and just threw a useless jab, just tried to stall the fight. None of these fights are credible wins, but I respect JJ for keeping the event together, but he's not built "different".

When Jake realizes he reached his peak in boxing real quick and JJ only scraping the surface of his potential, he will know he messed up. Needs more tune-up fight to be ready and a real test. This is not something you stress, that's exactly why Jake is stressing it now, he's been active, not only training so his best chances are as soon as possible, as soon as he realizes that it's not completely on his terms for once, he will crumble and pull out for BS reasons, mark my words. JJ hasn't fought anyone good yet either, but atleast his opponents are not limited to being much smaller than him. Also, testing and all that, needs to be implemented too, so there's no doubts or excuses.
The thing is everyone knows Jake is at his prime rn, constantly training (pre much living and breathing boxing according to Mike). But Jj has only started, and he's only gonna get better. No one really knows if he gonna stay looking like that when he fights next or look better. Swarmz looked how KSI looked when he first started. KSI is now built like an athlete, and he looks comfortable throwing punches, and getting hit. Swarmz never stood a chance. Pineda though, yikes 😬. You just feel bad for the guy. It was like the playground bully beating up on the skinny nerd. Pineda looks like he barely weighs 100lb going up against a wall of muscle. Who looked at that and said "yeah, this is a good idea." That was just pathetic; he should have never agreed to the fight.
