  • This will be part 2 of a 2 part year end harvest tour. In part 1 I covered all my container grown fruit trees. In this video I will show you my fruit trees that are planted in the ground and produced fruit this past season. I’ll show you the harvest off my lychee, Surinam cherries, figs, banana, stone fruit and a few others.

Greetings, thank you for the kind words, your support is greatly appreciated. I wish I could tell you how lychee fruits if grown from seed. I have never tried that. The fruit that I got off my trees did not have any seeds in them. I’ve read that with fruit trees grown from seed they will take much longer to produce fruit and there is no guaranty that they will produce good tasting fruit. An alternative to growing from seed would be to air layer. They grow faster and will produce fruit much earlier. There are all kinds of videos on youtube that show how to air layer fruit trees. Best of luck and thank you for visiting!

@@lorens_2008 I’m glad you are enjoying the videos. Sounds like you have a good variety of fruit trees yourself, best of luck with yours as well. The nursery where I got my Lychee trees claim they will do well growing in a container and that they are hardy down to 30 degrees F. If your area is colder than that you might consider growing them in a container. During periods when its below 30 you can move them to a protected area. I had mine in a container for about a year before putting them in the ground and they did well.
