This seems ideal if you want to modify the basis of a mesh and not ruin the other shape keys

Hello i've been wondering about this for so long, is it possible to create an animated shape key ?
For instance, I press the "&" key on my keyboard and it triggers a spinning flower on my avatar's head.
Is it doable in blender ?

How can shape keys data made on one object be transferred to another object?

As far as I'm aware, that's not possible. Keymesh is a means of working around it via a stop-motion approach, but news on that is very slow. A suggestion is that you create two separate meshes and toggle between their visibilities. It's cumbersome, but it's better than nothing.
