I totally get the frustration of having to remove an improper installation. But that’s exactly what you have with that liquid wrap. It was applied incorrectly, meaning too thin. The installer did not spray enough product, and now the customer gets stuck with that without knowing. Sad.
For what it’s worth, I’ve seen similar issues when people install the wrong type or cheap vinyl on vehicles. It gets brittle, cracks, and it’s difficult to remove.
The key takeaway from this video should be, find a quality, trusted installer no matter what you decide to go with.

Not enough liquid wrap has been applied. That's why it's hard to peel off. Simples.

Hot pressure washer takes it right off very fast and no glue like sheet vinyl

If it's wrap on a clear PPF the car will be protected from Watermarks?

With the wrap that brittle, I’m curious if pressure washing would have taken it off

Looks like you are getting worried about it. That's improper application and you trying to put down a product that when applied properly is better and cheaper than vinyl wrap. You know that and that's why you made a video, because you know people are turning to liquid wrap. It's like someone applies the worse vinyl wrap brand and than cooks on the car (I have seen heaps) and then make a video blamin the whole vinyl wrap industry. You didn't show how fast you removed aall other parts? why?

I think any change in car color needs to be registered with lto.

Wraps suck removing, even under heat. Liquid wrap is easier to remove. I've seen Wraps coming off mess up the glue spots creating dents. While yes the Wraps can offer a little more protection to scrapes, but usually it needs body work from the dent it created. As for color matching, yes you'll have to paint a whole side or maybe the whole car. But Wraps usually arnt perfect color match either. The Liquid wrap in this video wasn't applied correctly as its way to thin, I'm sure pressure washing would take the rest off though. Overall I think Liquid Wraps are here to kill Wraps as I think they're far superior (protect from scratches, can do a clear bra, can even wet sand and buff some of the Liquid Wraps, leaves a finish as nice as paintjobs Can be) Wraps do have there place though where they shine compared to Liquid

Hey guys If I vinyl wrap my truck. If i want to take it off does it damage my original paint job?

  • @ianp6994

There's a chemical used to take liquid wraps off your not suppose to just chip it off. Definitely more likely to damage the car with a vinyl wrap installed and removing compared to a proper liquid wrap install and removal

As I know of I think that the liquid wrap installer put actual clear coat instead of peelable clear coat on top of the liquid wrap making it brittle

Thats what happened to mine. It was so thin that it burned, I think, made it crack and matte looking instead of glossy.

I use normal clear, that’s not why. It’s because his base was way to thing. If u have enough base u can use whatever u want to top it off.
