Sir Whatever u say Baleno is the king in this segment. People are not mad to place this car always in top5 sales from the past 6 years. Even in Nov2022 Baleno claimed 1st place surpassing Alto, Swift, WagonR, Nexon, Brezza etc. Also the competitors are offering NA petrol, Turbo Petrol and Diesel engines which can attract different sorts of customers, but with only one engine option Baleno stood in 1st place which I feel is remarkable.

Hi #sanscarisumit, I am big fan of i20 but recently I have purchased Baleno Sigma at on road price of 6.97 lakhs(which includes extended warranty, fog lamps, mats & mud flaps). If I had opted i20 base then It cost around 7.95 after negotiation. So I kept my emotions aside and saved the amount of 1 lakh for the after market modifications. Also need to add few points, on which may be have differ opinion : 1. Service cost is less in Baleno 2. Spare parts is cheaper in Baleno 3. Better milage in Baleno (differ from person to person due to driving habits) Regardless of theses points still the build quality of Baleno is not as of i20, rest will only knows after the NCAP test🥂.

My 2014 VW Polo had best of both these cars and also seats are height adjustable, steering wheel is tilt and telescope adjustable, auto climate control AC, has rear defogger, rear wiper, laser cut key better than both these. Only thing it does not have are foldable mirrors. So lagta nahi ki car industry me koi jyada innovation hua hai. I want to change my car but everything feels the same.
Automatic AC and Touchscreen Infotainment screen itself is worth more than 50-60k. Plus you get a better Instrument cluster, foldable ORVMs, Projector headlamps. So in total by giving 25k extra you are getting features more than 1 lakh. Plus excellent mind-blowing mileage and refinement of MS. I20 doesn't even come close to Emperor Baleno 🗿
