  • Porsche 911 Barn find! and exploring an abandoned farmhouse. Ontario, Canada. Explore #11
    I was on my way to explore other locations this day and I seen this place on the way! It was so easy to miss if your not looking for it. Once I pulled up and saw that all the windows were still intact I got pretty excited. I had to get through all the vines to get into the front door as it was all overgrown. I have no idea on the history of this house or how long it was abandoned for. I do know the raccoons have been having a poop party here for awhile.
    I find a lot of vehicles at abandoned places but It was strange to find a white Porsche 911 Carrera at a farmhouse. The old farmer had good taste!

    About me:
    I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
    My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
    If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

    These kind of videos make me so sad. I can imagine children playing in the yard, women inside going about the daily chores, maybe preparing supper. A teenager in her room writing in her diary or talking on the phone with a girlfriend? Just so many happy moments that aren’t even memories to anyone anymore. It hurts my heart.

    My Dad has the same square bailer, we grew up using it. The look of this place with the vines over the door way and brick work is so cool. Layout inside along with the doorways is very interesting. A great job covering this place.

    Hi!! How are you? It's a shame that a lot of the homes I see abandoned could have survived a little longer if they had a little TLC before they became derelict. This would be a nice fixer upper, if you had the money to revamp. I love these homes. They are all unique, not like the cookie cutter homes we have now. Great explore and thanks for taking me along.

    Great find! Nice architecture, love the archway with the ornate trim above in downstairs rooms. Nice bullseye framing around all the windows and doors, too, but windows look old and probably all needed replacement for energy efficiency. Shame no one finished their remodel efforts but think might have been a bear to heat in the winter. Doesn't look like any insulation and saw fuel oil tank in basement but not notice any ductwork upstairs (our farmhouse only has one heat duct for 4 bedrooms and a bathroom, brrrr) Also was that electeic baseboard heating in the large rooms downstairs? Couldn't tell. Really neat looking house, though, and in pretty good shape considering. Thanks for the great explore! 👍

    Excellent explore! One of the best explores on youtube, a real treasure. Based on the doors, guessing built in the 1920s. Could be reasonably be remodeled... despite the raccoon's clever latrine. Very good camera work. Do wish you'd pause to try and identify the heating equipment. "Furnace" or a "boiler." A furnace has duct everywhere with a basic premise, heats hot air and blasts in throughout the house using the ducts, the air should be humidified. A "boiler" boils water and circulates it through the house in copper pipes to baseboards. Great way to identify the age and quality of a home, like a car's engine, lets' you know how much money the home owner had. A boiler is more comfortable heat, and typically would have been way more expensive. Great hobby, stay safe, thanks for sharing!

    This house had more "promise", on the outside, than the inside! Horrible mold on the main floor on the ceiling! I'd never seen such small bedrooms on the second floor, with the water tank upstairs in the bathroom!! Wow! Those glass door handles are exactly like the ones I have still on my bedroom doors! And my house was built in 1953! Of which even though my home has been renovated, those glass door handles are on! Lol!! It does look like someone was trying to renovate this house, but stopped, because of the expense!! So sad though. Awesome video!! ❤️

    This house and the property seem to be in pretty good shape for an abandon estate.... I hope someone buys it and restores it.

    Thanks for the link from your other video. I had also discovered this one by chance. I saw the 911 porsche from the road and had to get a closer look. The car had since been removed. I would have loved to get in touch with the owner to purchase that car.

    I love this house! How sad she is not lived in! What a waste! That was a hobnail lamp in that first room.

    Nice, kitchen would have been all that needed a real fix up. Loved the colored glass. Why didn't you take that first set of stairs into the basement?

    funny how raccoons like to poop in the same spot...sad to see dead bodies too..those old light fixtures were cool....amazing the woodwork in old houses...my ex's family had an old house built in 1835...unfortunately it was pretty run down from the uncle and aunt who lived there and let it go and his mom eventually sold it..all the antiques in it,,most sold off but i loved to go poking thru everything..,got the willies going up to the attic alone tho lol...i wouldve loved to renovate it...really cool..had some old photos where they had a horse and buggy in the carport..even the attic was walk up and had wallpaper and gas light fixtures,low ceilings so i suppose the kids slept up there ...creepy to go thru old houses and old stuff of others tho...goosebumps haha

    You know you should be very careful of asbestos especially in those homes where the paint is keeping like this one. You should be careful of mice poop. Kick up the dust of poo and could make you very sick. We can wait to get your mask. You didn't walk through the house first? Just be careful.

      What a road find you came across this time! When you look at the design of the house with the brick outside, just must have been a super gorgeous house in its' day. The cars are still restorable. Shoot, nowadays, they restore ALL things. Thank you for the great tour, Brent. Stay safe!!

    Did all the wood trim get painted over or were some of those old homes original like that? If they paint over it they ruin it

    I don't know why but when I see homes kind of stuck in an era like this I always picture a family with 2 or 3 teenagers and David Cassidy posters on the wall in the pink bedrooms. Lol.

    964 C2. Its worth pulling out that tub, you could sell it to Singer vehicles, Sell the rest of the parts on flea bay or Porsche discussion boards

    • @AbandonedUrbexCanada
      @AbandonedUrbexCanada  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya it’s pretty nice but has some damage and no motor

    • @sm70911
      @sm70911 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AbandonedUrbexCanada Singer uses 964 tubs to create iconic cars. they remove most of the exterior and replace with carbon fiber. Or It could be re built. The car would need to go on a celette bench to be straightened and have a bunch of expensive work where the impact was. The 3.6 motor is hard to find for under 20k but the C2 is a very desirable car. In this shape the tub is prolly trading for $15k, as is or possibly more if you find a rube who doesn't know 964's. Ultimately depending on how well brought back could easily be $70-80k car
