Idk I worked in a major city spent a few years doing music festivals year round got fed up with the industry switched to telecom then was like fuck telecom and fell back into staging but on the tech side of things. For me it all blended together and became the same shit everyday. My life started to feel like an endless set up show call and load out. Did everything from stagehand to rigging cam op spot op audio lighting and video tech sometimes all three on same gigs. Did corporate festivals stadiums arenas small stuff…. It all blended together. I loved it at first especially rigging. Festivals were cool at first. Now I can’t even go to a festival or a big show even for fun I’m fucking over it.
Last week October 22, 2023 i was doing show call for the When We Were Young Music Festival. I was part of Blink 182 crew. One of tte production guys hands me a blower to clean stage 2 of confetti. Now one of Blink 182 techs was impressed with me he gave me a pair of Travis barker drum sticks. Money can't buy this.
