Victoria (2025) | 48 Hour Action Short Film

This was for Uncle Mikki's 48 Hour Film Project 2025: / @unclemikki
Genre: Action/Adventure or Silent Movie (I chose an action movie, mainly because I was inspired by William Fredkin's film French Connection).
Line of Dialogue: "Why is this happening to me?" (we incorporated this well I think).
Character: VICTOR or VALERIE BLOOM (I messed this part up thinking it was "Victoria").
Prop: Flashlight (appears in one shot of the short).

Thank you! It was also a challenge to try to think of an short for "Action" without the use of fake looking guns and such. This short was highly inspired by The French Connection (1971), one of my favorite films of all time.

@ That was impressive how you pulled off an action short without falling into the typical tropes of filmmaking at this scale. I remember liking French Connection but I don’t hear it mentioned often as one of the best of all time. I’ll have to give it a second watch!

​@@JustYourAverageJoe1I feel like it's somewhat both a highly regarded classic, but kind of forgotten as well. It's influenced so many cop films, and you can definitely see William Fredkin's films like French Connection and Sorcerer influencing the Safdie Brother's movies like Good Time and Uncut Gems. I'd highly recommend a rewatch.

Can't wait to see your reactions and other people's shorts as well! Your guys's short was super impressive, and I don't know how you guys made something that's so fast paced and entertaining, that's also more than 8 minutes long, all in the span of 48 hours. Crème de la crème short. 🤌
