My dad once told me that no matter how many songs we listen to that are new, we still listen to old classics like this. I can’t help but agree with him.
Damn! I am ASHAMED that this is the first time I have heard this song. Omfg, this has everything you could possibly want in a rock song. This is absolute FIRE!!!
They have many great songs that people just never heard. I've been listening to them since this album came out. Had to go back and get Virgin Killers album as well. Wind of Change is an excellent tune, it was popular yet they didn't stray from their style of play.
This is an extremely famous live song for fans of the group, to be fair. But, I understand what you mean, it should have been more of a radio hit too. Some of that is just marketing though.
@@mainiac4pats Then why doesnt one of the classic rock stations play the fuq out of it? Stoopid ass corporate shit heads, still could be a damn big hit. Badass timeless jam
Growing up with a single mother, I was raised on Old School Rap and Old School Country music. Once my step dad came into my life years ago...he introduced me to Old School Rock and Old School Thrash Metal. If it wasn't for my mom and dad's awesome taste in music...I wouldn't of discovered hidden gems like this banger. Hearing my step dad play this riff for the first time before I even heard the actual song...I was blown away as a little kid. Unfortunately now, his fingers can't keep up with his passion which is heartbreaking because I can hear that he's trynna keep up everytime he pulls out the Amp and jams. Big shoutout to my step dad for introducing me to REAL music.
Age...only exists in the mind of the hopelessly mundane. Grew up on this still at 66. Real rock never dies , it lives on to be absorbed by the souls of ones to accept it. HELL YA .

Yeah, doing your best to stick out where you don't belong.....draw a lot of attention to yourself in the ghetto. Do you need the number for the suicide hotline? In certain places on earth a 1000 watt system is worth approximately 4 times more than your life. What else do you do for fun, wave your cash around on the subway platform at 3AM?
I remember seeing them live in 1991. They are one of the few bands that are just so much better live than in the studio. I recently saw their MTV Unplugged special and was not at all surprised at Klaus Meine's performance in his 60's. He is really that good. When I saw them, the band had the crowd absolutely mesmerized.

Thanks Scorpians for making my life then a beautiful thing
Schenker wrote much of the music during the band's first tour of the United States in 1979. When Meine first heard Schenker's riff, it reminded him of the band's earlier visit to a street in New York City humorously referred to as a "zoo".[1] Meine later composed the song's lyrics, which contain references to city streets, especially New York's 42nd Street.
