  • The cross-cut jig used in the table saw is very convenient and I use it all the time, but recently the stop block is not working well.
Even if it is fastened according to the dimensions, it will float and shift during cutting.
It can't be helped because it was made by DIY, but there seems to be a problem with the design.
I am in the direction of recreating it, but since it is a good opportunity, I decided to recreate it with another plan.
Another option is to use screw pitch.
The 1 mm pitch screw of M6 has a 1 mm gap between the ridges, so one rotation will move the screw 1 mm.
When you try to engage the screws, they will engage at each other's peaks and valleys.
It meshes at the same intervals in every part.
If you use this for the movement interval of the stop block, you can cut accurately in millimeters, freeing you from the hassle of glaring at the scale scale, and making it a stop block that can cut accurately in millimeters. I did.
I don't know if the accuracy will come out in the end, but I thought it would be interesting as a gimmick.
For some reason, this video will be divided into two parts.
