True phy damage and true magical damage do the exact same thing it’s just 1 more damage that goes through armour so no matter the person gear if it’s mag res gear or pdr gear true mag/true phy will do the same damage
I think the hardest part about balancing a game like this is the vast variety of stats (and stat ranges in general) that each class can have combined with no way to truly be prepared to for or have previous knowledge of what someone might come up against. Is it gonna be a lobby full of rogues with poison and crystal fighters, or one "teaming" with druids and fighters? Fighter is a common theme... ... Anyway, most people seem to want to min/max a particular stat that seems interesting or very powerful that exploits others wanting to build for a different opposing stat. This might be obvious? Idk Fighter might have too much freedom in choice with very budget kits.
You need to hug druids more like at 16:20 you couldve probably killed him by standing over him so he cant turn into a bear. great video that that prior clip with the teaming was unreal escape.
stuffing out bear tranformations is often too risky, good druid players will look to the side, spawning the bear facing away from u so theres less distance from u to the bears side hitboxes so it doesnt get stuffed out
Absolutly stunning gameplay from you thelorr! How are you even alive? You got some great game knowledge and very skilled. You keept it cool and no signs of panic GG
the reason you take true magic would be the fact it's typically cheaper, especially on plate helmets. think about it, like 8 of the 9 classes in the game love true physical (some of them needing to crutch on it since the classes are terrible), but only 2 really get much use from true magic, so the demand is a lot lower. Also, 1 true physical and one true magical are effectively the same outcome since they don't scale. It doesn't matter which one you have as long as you do both physical and magical damage you will proc both
E z druid balance; Charges on shapeshifting with a 10-15 second cooldown. 3 charges. Reduce bear movement speed by 5-10%. Easiest balance of my life. Fighter is an easy balance too, 20% magic damage and physical damage reduction on weapons that arent inherent.
Lmao i was the fighter at 12:06 , finally got some money to get a halfass decent kit and i go up against the lore with two minor artifacts... gotta love dnd matchmaking lmao
They aren't minor artifacts, just crafted gear. Nothing insane about any individual items he had, but the whole build together is cringe and should not be nearly as strong as it is
The best and most expensive top for fighter last wipe was dark plate, and rn it’s dark Cuirass. Purely because of the magic resist. Saying nobody stacks it is kinda crazy. It does need a better curve tho. Plus true does a lot more than going through magic resist, esp for a wiz!
0:55 well maybe if stacking full MR gear would give more than a few percent of MR then maybe they would lmao. Any class that has any potential for MR is because of perks and skills they have, not gear. Ironmace really needs to buff MR. Magic users have been running rampant for as long as the game has existed.
The best/meta options for fighter should not be using weapons that are not native to the class(rondel, crystal sword, bows). This destroys class identity. Remember the other thing they did that destroyed class identity and was terrible? Multiclassing. Revert Weapon Mastery back to -10%, and honesty like -15% or -20% for bows specifically. Fighters should really be incentivized to use their native crossbow(hits hard and has armor pen), and shouldn't be hitting harder than the actual bow class in the game(ranger), when using bows.
How well does this do in pve? As a new player I am looking for a build to start pushing HR but I try to avoid pvp. I have been using mostly longsword or shield build. How well would this perform in relation to either the LS build or shield build?
You need true damage either way because it's the same exact thing. So long as your weapon can dish out magic damage, true mag AND true phys do the same thing. No matter what you do, it's un-negatable damage.
I know that its wayy more expensive (around 5k) but PLEASE try the Void Blade with this build. Its a crafted longsword with 4 magic gamage, which scales really high with lots of will.
If you want you don't have to lean so hard into PDR these days. Dark Cuirass just got a really nice rework. Now gives strength, will, and resourcefulness, has more armor than dark plate, with less MS penalty, and less base MR. If you run into Warlocks/wizards/and some clerics with a build like that you might get cooked. People are definitely playing phys damage classes more with all the recent changes, but it doesn't hurt to not have negative magic resist.
The craziest part of this build to me is that you are hitting 60% PDR with no shield. You are also hitting over 300 movespeed without sprint rocking 3 pieces of plate gear gear. As far as I can tell the only pieces you have agi rolls on are pants, boots, and gloves. Imo it shouldn’t be possible to hit that high PDR while being that fast because this build could be even faster with agi rolls on your chest, helmet, and jewelry.
@@TheRealKinetic-q1t its +3ms, not 5... and its a 1% bonus so its variable... either way you look at it the point remains the same, there's no reason any class should be able to stack nearly capped pdr and ms at the same time, on top of being able to 3-4 tap absolutely everyone else.
true phys and true mag are the same thing, they deal 1 extra flat damage every time their respective damage type is dealt. the difference is how much of each damage type youre dealing, and how much use youre getting out of that one extra damage.
True dmg is true dmg regardless as long as your weapon has the ability to apply it. It's better to run true mag with fighter gear compared to true phys simply because it's cheaper so you can afford better stat rolls.
I don't think it's that complex to figure out buffs/nerfs, although they are going to catch shit from community no matter what they do. If Ironmace would just expand their perspective a TINY bit we could be well on our way within a couple months. No shapeshift cast-time OR cd is absurd in a game like this. If they have no cast time, then there should be a delay before they can get back into a form they just cast. Not limiting the amount of frannies one can bring into a match after EVERY iteration of buffs/nerfs to them is asinine. If they can only bring in a 2-4 but are made retrievable under all conditions (like arrows), it immediately returns the game to skill-oriented gameplay. Honestly one of the hardest challenges they should have to deal with is the movespeed meta. I don't know if they need to start capping movespeed based on class or what, but full plate fighters should not be outrunning "faster" classes, there NEEDS to be a penalty for wanting to be tanky, and the most expensive/important item in your kit shouldn't be boots. Also druid mobility is out of this world (mostly addressed already). The only reasons you lived in that 1v2 situation was because that druid simply wasn't very good with his movement tech as far as I could tell, and you outplayed them.
The people at 15:00 should get banned or properly punished. Teaming is disgusting behaviour and truely ruins this game. I've lost too many friends who refuse to play this game any longer due to that shit. Idgaf if people dont fight and are like lets just ignore each other. But working together is a good way to make a game unplayable and ruin all the fun.
The way they were in this video 100%. But like if two people out of 3 are in the same room and both decide without speaking "that guys a bigger threat" that shouldnt be bannable lol. But the fact the druid and fighter literally ran side by side after him and fought him in multiple rooms together across the map that type of shit needs to be bannable.
@@LieThePenguin Yeah I agree, I dont even see the example you said as teaming personally. You could see his weapon and see that he's killed people and hes being attacked. But fighting in multiple rooms against 1 person all the time is dirty af.
I been running this all wipe, stack as much raw max hp (around 170), atleast 50% PDR, around 30 will. You'll get decent MDR and magic power bonus. Then extra stats like phy dmg/magic power and action/dex and movement/agility are nice. youre slow but a fuckin tank and hit pretty hard. Use survival bow for poke/range damage. Good luck!
This wipe I found that most teamers are in GC. That's because they preteam to either pvp (it's easiest to find pvp on GC) or if there is no pvp or they clear lobby fast enough they do double boss for profit. I reported about 20 teamers, never got a ban confirmation. I did get ban confirmation for cheaters in the past, but never for teamers. We need some kind of system to stop this.
true damage is like additional, but doesn't scale with body part modifiers like headshots, and also (obviously) goes through resistances. on a crystal sword fighter, stacking true mag instead of true phys is pointless, because every swing of the crystal sword already does physical damage (which true phys is added to). stacking true phys will also make your bow stronger, while true mag would do nothing for your bow. that being said, you can get true mag on your helmet, essentially making your crystal sword damage 9 true, instead of the max 8, although that is only relevant if your build relies on true damage.
I try to always wear some magic resistance when playing fighter. I'm already going to be quite tanky. I may as well make it so I don't die to a wizard as fast as he will die to me.
I can't believe the level of disgusting teaming from those guys wholly smokes.... rondel pdr fighter and high strength bear druid teaming together is pure evil.
This game is very balanceable. A lot of it comes down to design philosophy. They could limit druid shifting to spell stacks just like the other casters, and they can up the time to kill across the board, which would make it far easier to balance. other games have done it. Also, giving each class some sort of ranged weapon would help some. for better or worse this game is a fps. not having a ranged option is pretty limiting on certain classes. I quit the game for many of these reasons. Love the content lore
I think the only fair thing they can do to balance druid to where the class is still viable but not super broken is to either make the forms have a cooldown to where you still can instantly swap from human to animal but any swap after that takes a couple seconds or nerf the scaling hard and buff the low end of druid or really even both of those changes either way no matter what they do the class will always be annoying to play against, it's def the new rogue and if anyone played during the playtest and a bit after the playtest knows how annoying and broken rogue used to be 2 tapping every class outta stealth etc. same things happening with druid minus the invis just with more movement.
clerics and wizards also get high mr, if they just added stats to magic resist gear then thered be a real reason to run it but rn it just makes you slow and leaves you lacking stats
Let me tell you guys about my experience against a Crystal Sword Plate Fighter last night--who may or may not have been cheating, who knows. So I'm playing Barbarian, my build is 216 HP, 50% PDR and 50% MDR, so I'm one of the tankiest things you could see. I've also got physical damage and armor penetration on some of my gear and the club, as well as Berserker to take advantage of the scaling physical damage bonus of the perk as I'm swinging. In comes a full plate Fighter with the Crystal Sword. Now I'm thinking this guy should be easy to kill. After all he has low HP and I have so many advantages that it should be outright impossible for me to lose. We go into combat and to my surprise, despite all of my advantages and even reducing his physical damage to basically nothing, he still ends up killing me IN THREE HITS. Despite his magical damage supposedly being halved by my magic resistance, and his physical damage bonus just not existing at all during the battle, he still killed me from max HP in three hits. The kicker? He was wearing all greens and blues, not that much Will or Strength gear, no True Damage, no penetration, nothing. Which led me to one of three conclusions: a) He's a cheater, which wouldn't surprise me. b) The damage scaling of magic is significantly higher than it should be. c) The damage reduction of magic resistance isn't working. Because under no circumstance, even with a headshot, should that Fighter have killed me. And the craziest part is that after all that, despite me hitting about four (purple) club headshots on him, he's 50% HP still. At that point I realized this game's not worth the time investment in playing. That kit was built to counter most PvP combat scenarios (like Crystal Sword Fighter) and somehow still gets taken down like I'm some sort of squishy regardless. Screw that crap.
knowing ironmace, i wouldn't be surprised if all of your conclusions are true. I used to main barb too (and also rogue) but i quit because playing knowing fighter is better than your class in every single way and is still getting buffs even now just feels bad.

Lorr I swear, you are the luckiest guy ever.
clerics and wizards also get high mr, if they just added stats to magic resist gear then thered be a real reason to run it but rn it just makes you slow and leaves you lacking stats
Damn are geared norms this juiced? That’s hype
Which led me to one of three conclusions:
a) He's a cheater, which wouldn't surprise me.
b) The damage scaling of magic is significantly higher than it should be.
c) The damage reduction of magic resistance isn't working.
17:20 It is NOT about balance this time, it was teaming scum.
Wtf are these absolutely crazy games
well speaking about balance they didint buff ranger for so long coz ur better than all of us at it and make it look insane, haha
10:40 crutch step abusers have very little experience in actual combat and will often die if the invisible crutch doesn’t work 😂
