The very high percentage of Big Pharma advertising is more of a thing in the USA, which admittedly is going to be where your placements are used. However, in many other countries around the world this is not the norm and in many cases, they are forbidden from advertising altogether. Watching tv in Europe and comparing tv commercial advertising to the USA was pretty shocking. I was watching a sports stream from the States and my wife noticed the barrage of ads from pharma and said that's crazy. I love how they speed through the side-effects at the end in like 5 secs. /s.

I avoid their drugs but I’ll take their money 🤷♂️ most forms of income lead back to corporate interests. Better to serve corporations in the studio than in a cubicle

Honestly, this is the first of these "realities" that gives me serious pause. Very tough call. It gets to my core belief system, and that makes this issue more profound for me. I know about Big Pharma buying up every institution including the media, and I have done work for pharma companies in the past. Now that I'm awake about the evils of this industry, and also having taken a more holistic approach to wellness in the past 10 years, this could be something that drives me away eventually. For that matter, a lot of what Hollywood represents these days gives me agita as well. Nobody ever said it would be easy. For now, I'm still in.
At least now you know. It's certainly a worrying issue for me as well.

I had never even thought of this as here is the UK the health system is very different and direct to consumer presciption drug advertising just isn't allowed .The only ones you see might would be for over the counter medicine like cough and cold remedies etc. The US is the biggest market for Sync but I bet most sync producers elsewhere in the world would not realise what your Ads are actually like in the US.

It could take longer than that. Best bet is to talk with your Library and ask them if they know if the cue sheet was turned in.
I actually, in all honesty, love watching pharmaceutical ads and commercials. Bring on the royalties. Love it.
