Daaaaaaaamn, I got chills the way Pac's voice fades in and out, and then, how he just explodes in the beginning of his verse displaying soooo much raw passion. Ja did an amazing job on this song showcasing Pac gift. I love to see Pac honored this way, because he is most definitely worthy. Pac is the greatest rapper the world will ever know. I wonder if he knew how truly special he was and how much his real brothers and sisters loved him, and still do love him.
David Langley It gave me chills hearing his voice in this song, too. Ppl shit on Ja Rule after 50 pretty much x'ed him out the game, but in retrospect everyone was riding the Tupac wave. These days, ppl are still on it too.
The intro and that exact part u talking brings me to Tears fk'd up that I lost my brother Stretch too so this song means a lot to me... God Bless the Dead Rest Easy Stretch & Pac.... Gemini ♊ season up.
@Ali I'm talking bout my own Brother Stretch... He wasn't a producer he was just one real ass dude that kept it 100 with me thru life til his last day and u don't come by genuine friends like that today. So Rest Easy to both brothers named Stretch and The One we all call Pac

I didn’t because of the terrible quality of the vocals. They should remaster it and clean up the vocals. It sparked no emotion for me....I’m disappointed that you all are feeling it when I’m not.
He was one of 2pac's artist on his would've been Deathrow East label is what many don't know. Ja was solid as hell on his first album. Loved this song and few other's he put out. But the albums didn't bang as hard as his "Venni Vetti Vecci."
Why do people hate on Ja Rule? He is a very good rapper, everyone knows he gets inspired by Tupac. There's nothing wrong with that i'm sure you have someone that inspires you that you look up to, those of you who don't like Ja Rule... Don't waste your time writing comments.
Pac's a strong dude you can hear it deep down in his soul he meant every bit of that verse.... "They'll never take me alive"!!!!.... still listening in 2023 and forever
Been a Ja fan even through the G-unit beef and you can't go wrong with Pac. Emotions high throughout the whole track make you feel weight but moved enough to push through. The music sample from Earl Klugh's - Living Inside Your Love pulls it all together. Song stands the test of time.
Give Rule the credit and stop putting him down. some of you can't even spit a line talking bout this tribute is bad. Y'all some haters out here. RIP to the homie Pac tho
Credit for what? All he did was switch up words to the exact same shit Pac wrote. That shit isn't hard to do. He was trying to be a 2000s version of Pac and a clown came and ended his career. Pac rhymed at the end to save his own song because this nigga fucked it up. CHANGE MY MIND.

I would like to start a campaign distinguishing the difference between the BOAT which stands for best of all time which refers to pure artistic skills displayed and then GOAT which stands for greatest of all time which is what Pac is. He is the greatest rapper the world will ever know. He never aimed to showcase lyrical skills, because he could have very easily done that, but he focused on his message and conveyed it through raw passion and emotion most of the time. One thing is for sure, he is definitely the most loved rapper of all time. There are so many characteristics that make him greater than any other rapper, both dead or alive. To this day, he is so damn iconic in the same way Martin Luther king and Bob Marley is and that's a fact, so he is the GOAT and not the BOAT. Please pass this on.
It's funny, nobody appreciated Ja Rule when he was active in 2001-2003 (commercial Ja Rule years), myself included. Now that he's not under the spot light, we start appreciate his work. I admit, I am not the biggest Ja Rule fan, but I'd rather listen to Pain Is Love rather than any of these new artists. Sometimes I wonder, when these new cats become old news, will I start appreciating their music.
