I know of a place up here in Canada that uses an ionizer to get smelly machines to stink better. Personally I'd just massage some mild scented oil product in to hide any smell. Thanks for the upload Ron and congrats on 60k subscribers. I signed up at about 20k. You're doing it right on your channel. Cheers!

I was just talking with my Dad over Christmas about your channel and he reminded me of a special place and feller from the past, early 70s. My father had a high school buddy Arty who owned a place called Putters Palace in Jacksonville, NC. It was an indoor putting, pinball, acarde venue. When we would travel back home and go buy, Arty would give me and my sister handfulls of tokens to play. I wish that place was still open, those were great memories. Dad mention he thinks Arty is still alive and was planning on reaching out to him. I am curious to hear if he still has any old machines.

Thanks SR. I did a live chat with the Goat-Shed a few days a go and we talked about the 1948 Sky Blue you were working on. They told me that he would like to stop by and pay you a visit when he's here next summer. I told them you would be, tickled pink if he did. If he makes it to Washington to go for a ride on the Space Needle , He would like to meat me and I could show them around. They are very funny guys .

The bonus unit is built that way for counting the bonus. If it stopped at one you would never get credit for one. So it cycles 1 more time to zero to add the one to the score. Later on it gets stepped up to one so every ball has one bonus unit to start with.

It means a lot to me that you missed out on a parade just to make a video for us. You didn't have to do that. You guys could have made a float that looks like a giant pinball machine and has a big inflatable Santa playing it. This game looks awesome, another great series in the works.

See what you did there at the end Ron ;).
Love these old machines, reminds me of a time things where made to last and for making the best fun for people more than profit (not that profit it a bad thing, or saying they didn't do well from this, just felt like profit was a servant of getting things right back then, rather than an aim to itself).

Here’s a different kind of machine. … I’ve never seen this one or played it at all. It wants to go, it’s cooperating already. I think it’s very happy it’s come to Joe’s Classic Video games to get revived and resuscitated. It might even do a few tricks when it’s cookin’ again.

I remember a pinball game that when it was over, the game would spin a 10's number wheel. It would produce a random number of 00, 10, 20, 30 .... 90. And if your score ended in the same value, you won a free game. I think it was a four player game. It was card or casino theme. I'm just musing over the old games I played in the 80's. But it was already old back then too.

My last pickup was a Chicago Coin "Action" from 1969. Got it for $85.00. It was in TERRIBLE condition. Didn't work, had a rats nest on the playfield (but somehow no rat poop inside). I put 2 months into repairing coils and completely stripping it and cleaning it. It must have been in a small smokey bar cause cabinet was completely brown and I had to use alcohol and a magic eraser you hook to your drill and I finally got all that nicotine and stuff off of it.
Backglass wasn't the greatest but got it running and cleaned up and its a nice machine overall . Playfield came out great and it plays smooth.
Mine is an outlane ball hog if I ever saw one lol. I lose soooo many balls to the outlanes on that machine so watching you constantly loose on your other video on this one the same way was hilarious.
By the way use a green scotchbrite pad for those Jones plugs in the future. They will have them looking spotless with little effort and no brasso needed. You can fold one and get in between the plugs and it just works perfect!

Vivid colors on that one. One thing I’ve noticed while banging my head against the wall to fix a cc machine, there aren’t as many replacement parts available. People don’t love them as much as the big 3 brands. Shame. They have some cool art.

I think two of those Normal closed contact (2 and 4) are non operational because there is no corresponding contact in the normal position. The movable part was single sided. Was there actually any wires connected to those contacts.
