I first discovered David Sandborn because of his association with Roger in 1994... this show and they were both on Letterman together too. Your sax continues on in the cosmos! You played beautifully! Thank you for sharing your gift. RIP David Sanborn. ♥
Simon Phillips to me best The Who had after Keith’s death. His tempo, power, precision and skills are unreal. I saw him live with the Who in 89 it was unreal.
I've been saying the same thing since seeing Simon at Vet Stadium Philadelphia and Giants Stadium NJ in 1989. I can't get enough of his playing. You nailed it precisely!
1:57:16 onwards that look from The Ox says it all on Simon Phillips' chops! You can tell he really enjoys his presence and just overall having a good time after Moonie passed! 2:01:58 Ox solo!
To the poster: I don’t know who u are (who are u btw) where ur from etc etc etc but T.Y.S.V.M. for having posted this.....hopefully for forever. I went both nites and have tremendous memories of these shows.
I don’t believe Any member of a any Band.. HAS EVER PULLED OFF ANYTHING LIKE THIS…! ROGER DALTREY IS A VERY SPECIAL MAN!!!!! THIS IS SO SO SPECIAL W O W ! ROGER DALTREY THE WHO 💙🤍❤️⬆️
It's because of the genius of Pete Townshend's music, tho. Credit where credit is due. Roger did a great job of orchestrating Pete's songs. If memory serves, he orchestrated this whole concert.
Roger is a Genius to put on a Brilliant exonerating, Beautiful, Amazing, Etc… SHOW With All these Extraordinary Musicians!!!! Great Experience and So Lovely and FULL OF LOVE!! THANK YOU ROGER AND COMPANY!
The orchestra is jazzing it up. You study, practice, learn to be orchestra worthy, then you get to let your hair down, because you are basically you are a bad ass classicly trained musician. What a hoot.
That smile on Michael Kamen's face. Regardless of what his pay check was, that's the face of a successful man. He knows he's providing orchestration to some of the best songs ever.
@@TheWhoVault I'll second the ask, I'd really love a pre-TH-cam uncompressed version as well, as a massive fan of the band. So glad to see someone posted the entirety of this show finally!
I played this concert! I'm a violinist and was in the Juilliard Orchestra. Sound is good and video not bad off old chrome.
Wonderful concert! Thank you for posting. Happy Birthday, Roger Daltrey, we love you!
WOW!!! Just came across this, I am a huge fan, totally forgot about this one. Thanks so much for sharing 👍👍👍
Nice to see the unedited version...thanks for sharing.

Now And Then grew on me.
One of the rare live performances (recorded) of And I Moved.
Kudos to Roger for getting all of us that present for his birthday.
Thanks for uploading. My folks wouldn't let me order it when it initially aired.
My sweet babboo looked so boo-tiful bringing back his TOMMY look. 💗
Thanks so much for this!

When Pete comes on it's a Pete Townshend concert. Roger must have been envious.
Actually, it makes it a Who concert
Ужасный звук
Strange to see Roger in a semi-tux. Still one of the coolest guys in rock.
