I have never shopped at a thrift store… or many other stores for that matter. My brain can’t process the bounty on the shelves. I need things to be extremely organized by categories…. Grocery stores are fine, and my favourite store is Home Depot. Add to that one clothing and one shoe store, and that is about it for me. I send my husband for everything else 😂. He does not mind hunting around for the right find.

Walking through the trellis when the beans are grown will be quite magical. I can imagine your garden in summer, flowers blooming birds singing. Fabulous 🥰🥰

Agree, gardening is a great slow down. My neighbor loves to garden and got us to start our own with her help along the way. Watering the flowers and veggies in the morning before starting work put my mind in a peaceful, meditative state.

What a fun video going thrift shopping with you! That thrift store had a lot of treasures and I love that all proceeds go to help women and children get out of difficult situations. I'm so glad you bought the white plant stand. I had a green one exactly like that (I bought it at Kmart in the mid-1990s and it was called a Baker's rack at that time) and I have often regretted decluttering it. I used it in my pantry to store baskets and dishes but it makes a really beautiful plant stand. I can see it just filled with plants. I love your idea of an enchanted garden for your back yard.

I am also a gardener and find it very relaxing growing flowers and vegetables.
I can’t wait to see your gardens 14:34 at the end of the season when things have matured and all your seating areas have been figured out. Have fun, Erica!

I have two of those white leaf plant stands. At this very moment, one is outside with seedlings I’m hardening off. The best feature is that they fold and store very compactly. They’re easy to move around, yet they don’t look makeshift. I got mine new about 20 years ago for $20 or $25. You’ll definitely get $30 worth of use and enjoyment out of yours!

The metal tray with the handle brings to mind the trays they used to use in Greece in the little cafes to deliver the coffees and glasses of water to stores closeby to the café... They have similar more modern ones now. 🤔 This one looks heavy though, so it mustn't be... Maybe for decoration or a catch-it-all on a counter? 7:03

Gardening is the best slow practice! Meditation, exercise, critical thinking all in one hobby.
I am missing the summers I used to have larger gardens here on our hobby farm. Greenhouses full of tomatoes and peppers. Companion planting flowers and veg. Fruits around our pond. It's all so spread out and takes so much time, it's a little difficult to do with our wee lad. This year I am trying to integrate more permaculture principles into our gardening. Our farm was a nursery business before we owned it, so things are more for display than function. I am trying to make a food forest out of the large display garden near our house.
Enchantment is the vibe we're going for here too. Good luck on your quest! I can't wait to see what all your effort looks like by Midsommer!

Always enjoy watching you cultivate your garden so much, Erica. You take such excellent care of all of your plants and veg. Everything aways looks so lush and beautiful. Could the metal dish with the handle be a pastry dish? They are usually two or three tiered. But perhaps that's what it is?

I also go to a thrift store that all proceeds go for domestic abuse, it’s where I donate, and prices are higher then let’s say goodwill.
Erica I just came in from planting my container plants and I was looking at herbs at Lowe’s as well.
I live in South Carolina and spring is here 🌺🌞🌸

Gardening great, weeding, on the other hand is not. I'm getting too old to give a flip. I might just container plant soon and left all else become "yard".
