What an adventure! I’m very jealous that you got up so close to icebergs!

It really was an adventure. It's the first cruise we've been on where we looked forward to the weather in the UK!

Qaqortoq - ka ko dok - I have lived in Qaqortoq for the last 13 years. The reason I live here is because I'm married to a native Greenlander. Stone & Man Open Air museum headed up by Aka Hoegh! The wall that shows the whales is called "They Come," Inuit Faces are called "Insight", The two main religions in Greenland are Lutheran and Jehovah Witnesses. The White church was built in 1972 and the old original church was built in 1832. We have two main Grocery Stores with four smaller convenience style stores. Mosquito's, flies and midges are a thing during the summer months.
In order to travel from Qaqortoq, one can go by helicopter to a small airport in Narsarsuaq, or by boat or by passenger ship. An airport is currently being built 9 kilometers from the lake. The lake you viewed is called Tasersuaq (Big Lake.)

Thank you so much for this; I wish we’d been able to spend more time there and discover more ourselves. Hopefully we will be able to visit again one day soon 🙂

Thank you so much for your additional information. We are cruising to your hometown next August on the Sapphire Princess. I am running a Facebook for that sailing. We love supporting local business. Are there any suggestions we can share with our group about booking excursions in your town? Thank you.
