I wondered why the Egyptians didn't want to take in the people fleeing from Gaza, then it dawned on me that there were 2 good reasons. 1- They would take on a huge financial burden of resettlement of these people ( which I am sure is contrary to welfare of their own populace), 2. Remaining members of Hamas terror group would find an escape into Egypt. I don't think the government of Egypt wants this group populating their country.
Yeah it's Israel's problem, they radicalized the Palestinians and funded Hamas, why should Hamas be any country's problem but Israel's? Egypt deserves respect for international borders.
1.That defeats the Palestinian cause if Egypt allows Palestinians to flee to the Sinai Peninsula.

4.Egypt's economic situation at the moment is a complete disaster, can't even take care of our own people, let a lone taking care of refugees as we already took the burden of accepting 10s of millions of refugees over the years from Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine and recently Sudan.
