A BIGFOOT ENCOUNTER FILM FROM MISSOURI | LAKE OF THE OZARKS (LAURIE) THE SLOTH CREATURE

  • In this film, Jim from Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri shares his Bigfoot encounters and experiences. Jim has been interviewed before on the channel and I wanted to visit him to hear it in person and see the layout of the land! We were supposed to camp at his place but on the first day, we went to visit his friend Greg in Crocker MO! Jim said he had experiences as well and that Greg was willing to talk about them on film! That is the two-part series called "A Native American Haunting!" I appreciate Jim for sharing his encounters and it really means a lot! A phone call interview is always good but nothing beats meeting up and seeing a person eye to eye when they talk about these experiences! Thank you Jim and thank you for all the support out there! Be safe everyone and God bless my friends!

A skeptic is just someone who hasn’t had an experience yet. Great interview! Love these types of face to face interviews and I commend Jim for being brave and putting himself out there.

Exactly. If even one story is true than Big Foot is real. There is way to many encounters for the creature not to be real.

A skeptic is someone who recognizes there is no evidence. "I know what I saw" or "This person I talked to wasn't lying, I could tell", are not evidence.

@Rystark.1989 There are a few reports of sightings in the UK. One lady saw one in the woodlands of county of Kent over 30 years ago and it's still traumatizing for her to speak about. She said it totally ruined her life.

I'm a 3rd generation fishing guide on the big Niangua. I've known of these creatures all my life. I fear nothing in the woods, they are MY home too. I keep my word and they respect me for it. Most everyone that asks that question doesn't understand. When I first told of my sighting in 77 I was labeled a liar and it caused me a lifetime of grief... When I told of other bad things that were happening to me in the foster care system it was just for attention... now I don't care what people think and I keep to myself.

This man is totally believable. I am a city boy but have known people like him all my life in Tennessee. I know them to be God fearing, hardworking and as honest as the day is long. I trust his testimony without reservation. Unlike urban dwellers country folk can't survive if they are fools. In a city you can steal and deal your way in life and still be ignorant. In the country that dog don't hunt. You have to be a mechanic, a horticulturist, understand weather patterns, wildlife and nature or you won't last long. They are not fools and understand the world they live in intimately. I am 69 and just learning the intricacies of country life. What they know can only be learned through experience, no school can teach it. It must be lived.

BJ my friend fell asleep right away from driveing 17 hours!!! I was wide awake in those mountains that night!! What screaming I heard that night in the Quachita Mountainside but I found a bunch of Crystals!! Went back to Arkansas about 4 times to dig crystals! Hey Miguel, this man has some of the best bigfoot encounters I have ever heard. Coinsidentally, my wife is also from the Philippines, and they have many of cryptids. The mananangal, the aswang, the white lady, and the dwendi, small fairy like people who live in the forest. Before you enter the woods you are supposed to say “tabi tabi po”, this gives respect to the spirits of the woods.

I liked the comment about the cabin. Lol, he has strong feelings about the place. Can't really say I blame him to much. Bigfoot is one thing, the other stuff just freaks me out. There's a lot to take away from that one statement. He has had a lot going on. They like his place, and he doesn't seem to mind that they are around. I feel the same, it's just another facet of being in the woods. If your out in the woods just know they may be out there with you. It is just part of it! Either you except it and move on with the fact. Or, you don't! I must say I will not let what is out there stop me from being out there. I'm a spiritual being and I wonder because that is what I do. They are the same, they like watching us as much as we like watching them. Great video here for sure. I was out in Lake Ozark this past week with my job. Very nice area down 54. Thanks for telling your stories, Jim.

No matter how many times someone says "I know what I saw" or "I lived in the woods all my life" or "I'm an expert outdoorsman" or "I know this guy, or that guy, and they wouldn't lie", it still isn't evidence. No substantiated evidence is ever produced and there is always some excuse as to why the evidence couldn't be collected.

They are all over the woods here but there are other screams that accompany them!!! I have been growled at when I've been out on my little farm and seen Strange animals run out of my barn and run threw the field to the woods!!!! I have 4 dogs so I feel pretty safe because they definitely alert me when anything is around. One night I was standing in the driveway talking to my neighbor and something start vocalizing at us !!! My neighbor said it was racoons!! I don't think so!!! Great videos Miguel! I'm from the city in Illinois but my family is from Kentucky and boy did they have some stories to tell!!!!

The most scared I have ever been was in Laurie Missouri. My Dad And uncles took me to the edge of the woods in the dark of night with a bag and told me to go as far in as I could and they would chase Snipes to me and I was to catch them in the bag. All of a sudden I heard noises running through the woods coming from every direction, I dropped the bag and ran back where I came from as fast as I could. I was about 10. Scared the sh%* out of me. Man, you ain't really lived until you have the bonding experience of listening to a rock skipped in the dark with your father. Unless you've had him hold his cigarette lighter for you in a service station bathroom because the bulb was blown out, then meh, probably pretty much the same.

I grew up in Missouri and was a kid when The Legend of Boggy Creek came to the drive-in theater.. I didn't sleep well for a very long time after seeing it - looking out the window at night was way too scary, too. My buddy and I loved riding horses in the woods. One time , we scared ourselves silly saying bigfoot was out there with us. Guess we were lucky..😊

Just wanted to throw this out here bc you asked him about Native American history in the area. I’m born and raised in/around St. Louis myself and my dad grew up in Maryland Heights (which is a suburb of STL), where his dad’s sitings take place. The river bottoms he is speaking of are called Creve Coeur Bottoms and there is actually some Native American history there. It’s hard not to have any Native American history in St. Louis because it’s the point where 3 rivers meet: Missouri, Mississippi and Meremac. We also have Cahokia right across the Mississippi, which was, at one time, one of the largest Native American settlements in North America. Dig deep enough within a 200 mile range and you can find an artifact. 😊

This channel is one of the finest on TH-cam and you were doing a fantastic job. This is coming from somebody who is an unofficial connoisseur. I have just purchased my first deer farm just south of the lake, listen to a lot of Sasquatch stories, to better educate myself and get the willies. Many of my neighbors say they hear strange sounds.

South west Mo . There is 80 acers in sight of my farm with a sinkhole. I use to walk the section road down to the end, two miles there and back. And when i got to the woods my dogs would get scared and would not leave my side. It creeped me out so much i quit walking. Not long after that we were out looking at the cattle when we heard a sound so loud and frightening. None of us had ever heard that peticular sound before. It made the hair on the back of our necks stand up . Plus it spooked the cattle. The local s have said there is something big and hairy living there. Its full of deer and there is at least a hundred years of growth in there.

I'm from Minnesota and have been obsessed with Sasquatch since childhood watching In Search Of and a few other related documentary films back in the 70's. Thinking back now I wonder if some of them odd noises I heard while camping in the north woods up near the Canadien border could've been the big guy or gal checking us out from a distance. At any rate, I need to get back out there but I've been a bit busy and any chance I get I'm either watching your channel or the late great Kerry Arnold's Bigfoot Odyssey. Miss that guy....Anyways thank you again sir stay safe and keep Squatchin!!!

I don’t tell this story as my family laughs at me but I swear it’s the only time I’ve been genuinely concerned coming here I’ve been coming to the lake of the ozarks since I was very little we have a cabin that is part of a small cluster of about 6-8 other cabins total and is fairly remote for the area. About 3 years ago in the fall me and my wife came up for the weekend just to relax and get away, we were the only ones here on site as most people had winterized and packed up for the year and I was certain we were completely alone. The first night was uneventful but the second day we were there at just about dusk there was just enough light to walk but not really enough to see if that makes sense I walked up about 300 yards to the communal dumpster to throw trash out and started walking back down to our cabin. Now we are on a gravel hill with 1 main road down to the water about 800 yards from our front door but on either side of that road there’s a 4 ft ditch. Well as I was walking back something ran very very fast across the road behind our cabin and into the trees with no hesitation it ran on two legs and I swear to god i can only describe it as having the build of a young kid maybe 4.5ft tall but ran extremely fast and disappeared into the woods and then pure deafening silence I hurried inside locked the doors and barely slept that night my wife and family doesn’t believe me but I definitely saw something that night and it was without a doubt built like a human was too dark for detail but definitely the perfect silhouette

Skis rock climbs he has since child hood he's a grown man now with his family. But he still camps up in the Colorado mountains, and he says he can hear screeching real loud!! Even if you get a big thick limb etc and hit it against a tree up wheir he camps they sometimes responds. And mind you! He sometimes camps by himself! So!! Yeah! It truly happens.

I have seen those structures that look like an American Indian teepee in the woods near my house when I would be dirtbike riding with my young sons. I remember thinking what an unlikely way for those skinny trees to have fallen into that shape..
I never thought about that until now when you mentioned something about that in this video
One night in the summer, I was swimming in my pool alone around midnight. I was in the pool floating looking up at the stars for meteors on a crystal clear night. I live right up against the woods about 15 miles north of Pittsburgh south of Butler, Pennsylvania… my dogs were up on the deck listening to things. I really don’t have any close neighbors…
it was a school night during the week, the kids were still in school before the summer break so there would be no kids out this late..
my property orders, a pipeline right of way that the pipeline company keeps clear about every 10 years they come through with a machine that just cuts down all the young trees that have started so they can fly over and take some type of ground, penetrating ultraviolet, or infrared pictures.. from the right of way on, it is really gnarly woods, going down a steep valley, that a stream runs through..
so I hear this sound that sounds like somebody striking a tree with a baseball bat for a large branch. My dogs immediately sprung two attention and looked in the same direction. The sound came from.
I couldn’t help but wonder who the hell would be down in the hollow at this time of night .. you gave me the creeps, so I just went in the house, took a shower and went to bed..
A couple months later I had the dogs out for their last pitstop around 1 AM. I would go outside with them and they would run around in the right of way of joining my property. It’s a big large area clearing that I keep clear by cutting the grass there, but it is The beginning of the thick woods. So I’m standing there waiting for the dogs to finish their patrol before I go in and get my shower to go to bed, and I hear that sound again that sounds like somebody hitting a tree with a baseball bat. Only this time it’s further away because I can hear the reverberation in the valley from the noise. My dogs didn’t pay attention to it because they were too busy chasing each other., but I heard it. It sounded like maybe it was 100 yards away. There are no houses down there, there’s no roads, it’s just too steep and gnarly and overgrown. I’ve lived here for decades, my kids grew up here from the ages 5.4,2. they grew up in these woods, climbing trees, clearing trails, later, riding there a little mini bikes, on trails that I would clear for them.. when they got older, we would ride these trails for miles north, they go for miles and miles and if you look at a map, this part of the country is pretty much woods from just north of Pittsburgh all the way up into Canada if you can just cross a few roads and avoid the Little towns..
So I hear there’s no reason I started, wondering, who would be in the woods at this time of night, down in that valley again. It just gave me the creeps. I went in the house, and for the hell of it I went on my computer and typed in a search for a map, indicating Bigfoot sightings in western Pennsylvania. to my amazement, there were dozens of sites within a 10 minute drive of where I am located. Some of the police reports were from a road two minutes away… I know that road, I rode my bicycle back there just to look at those mansions, there isn’t a house back that road that isn’t worth at least half $1 million, there’s only about 15 houses back that road call Matt it just seems that someone with that kind of money wouldn’t be making false reports to the police about a big foot.. One of the reports near my home was a father and his adult son, working in their yard, they claim to have watched a big foot for over 10 minutes on the opposite hillside during the day..
so I put up a trail camera and across the right of way to the woods..
I left that trail camera up for three months. It took hundreds of pictures. I quickly went through them deleting the photos. It took of me cutting the grass or of my kids or my dogs running in front of the camera or the deer of which there are many that have set off the camera…
I didn’t get any pictures of anything that looks like a big foot, but I did get one photo at night of some thing with lights all over it about 10 feet in the air above the ground in that right of way. The lights are so bright that I can’t actually see what the lights are attached to, but it was big because it is the width of the frame of the picture.. you can’t drive a car in there or a truck, and it doesn’t matter if you could drive a vehicle in there, because this isn’t on the ground, this is in the air. I have the photo, but I am not gonna put that on the Internet, someone will come here with a butterfly net to take me away.
We live in a ranch house, our bedroom windows are higher up, And our windows are so high inside the house that you have to be at least 6 feet tall to see out of them In the bedrooms. From the ground outside, the windows are about 12 feet up because of the slope of the train. My house is built on a slight grade, the front of the house is at ground level., and the rear of the house is at ground level for the garage and basement.
so my wife and I are in bed one night about 1 o’clock in the morning, it’s not hot or cold, so we have the bedroom windows opened. It was in the fall, because the ground was covered with crunchy leaves..
We heard something shuffling through the leaves that sounded like it was walking on two legs.. it had heavy, asthmatic breathing. It was not a deer or a bear or a turkey. Whatever it was, it was outside our bedroom windows for about 10 minutes, making noises, like kind of like gibberish. My wife and I were hiding under the covers listening to this…
I actually wanted to not know what it was. I didn’t run for a flashlight, or a chair to be able to get up high enough to look out the window. We live at the end of a road with only four houses on it. Anyone that comes to the end of the road is either coming to our house or they are lost. And when a car comes down or a truck, we know it, this was nobody from A car or a truck or somebody walking their dog, people do not walk their dogs at night, where I live, especially on my road that I know of.. and what would they be doing in my yard after midnight?
Ever since those two sounds, I heard of something or someone striking a tree with a baseball bat, and that noise outside our bedroom window one night, we get the creeps when we are outside after sunset..
we bought this house in the late 1980s and we have been here all this time. Do you think we wouldn’t feel any apprehension about being here?.
I often remarked to my two sons, that they used to walk through the woods to their friends house on the next hill at all hours, through the woods by themselves. I asked them if they ever were scared doing that. They said, no, I have thought about hiding in the woods and scaring them, but I didn’t want them to be scared of anything., So I never pulled that prank on any of my kids
