- About : Brahmastra part 1 SHIVA is one of the most waited movie in recent years which is finally released in theatres, This movie has some of the fresh concepts inspired from Hindu Mythology and spiritual text. Brahmastra depicts the story of shiva, who himself is a astra , in this Astraverse created by Ayan Mukherjee. Brahmastra 1 has shown us some the powerful and important astra from thier Astraverse universe. In this movie we saw a total of 16 Astras apart from more 60 astras that we might get to see in future movies of this trilogy. @@Vor567tez why can't we call a copy a copy. And about vfx they followed a monochrome VFX instead of colourful ones. Visually it looks good but we have seen far better onces and don't say those are hollywood level we are bollywood level. Just check post credit seen and see those vfx are done in india only. Its creativity what matters we have seen these power systems in anime long ago we are still seeing it. They have taken indian mythology and did far better job 10 20 yrs ago

Monochrome VFX looks good. There's something called interest. If Ayan thought monochromatic serves the story better, so be it.

Bollywood's only fault is it's starting late. But it has to go through same learning curve that Hollywood and Anime went in it's pre-boom.
Instead of finding flaws forcefully. Give criticism that helps to improve and encourage.
@Vor567tez in whole mahabharat ramayan bhagvat or any puran have you ever seen banara astra or nandi astra. And from starting what ever astra is mentioned it's with its matra not associated with objects. It's the mantra how you want to use it. There is no king of astra or anything present.

My theory behind why brahmastra stops :-
I think in end ,Dev who got revived by Brahmastra lends his power to Shiva via vashmukat astra and by gyan astra stop activation of brahmastra.
Dev is only behind power of Brahamastra,he is not for destruction of World and if world will end so will Dev die

My review and theories:)
It's good movie with many of unanswered questions and unexplained events to be explained in next part( as hinted by guru in the movie)
Action and VFX is superb,plot is also good
Acting is also nice,just pacing needs to be fixed(2nd half could have been better paced)
The way in which some astras power was shown was quite innovative - Maya astra,Agni, jal astra, prabhastraa and nag astra
Also some of the action choreography was quite unique and one of them has to be the ambush,that was really something new
Also the movie's prime focus is astras and the love story factor is only personnel trait of Ranbir's character Shiva so it is well fitted in story
Also Shiva- Isha are analogues to Shankar-Parvati bhagwan(Gods),no parents and living with ganas(orphanage children),rich and poor dynamics of sadhak and princess and paravti mata leaving everything for Shankar bhagwan
**Spoilers
- Ranbir has one more power of telepathy and visions
- Alia is not ordinary human as hinted by many events (she survived the fall and the attack by Zor)
- The Brahmastra in the end did not stop because of love as speculated
It stopped due to brahmdev lending its power to Shiva as objective of Junnon(and brahmdev) was only to activate the Brahmastra to revive brahmdev, nothing more
- Shiva has personnel trait which is to find light and love is well incorporated in movies,as from his childhood its shown that first time his power activated because of the affection and love of his mother which burns her mother and then it's activated when he meets Isha
- Also SRK had one more power by which he can discern the power of Astra some person is holding as shown in film that SRK even without looking can feel the aura of Junnon's astra
- Ranbir unlocks his next form in the end
- Isha in next part will be Pawan astra user(as hinted in the end that, Tenzin astra is left on the cliff by the side of Isha)
- Amrita looses her power(that's why Shiva's power is able to burn her) and now Dev has power of Jal astra too(as seen in the movie that Brahmdev's statue has a blue astra) that's how Junoon is able to summon rain

Think about a hero. Ek hero kabhi bhi aise hi nhi bante h. Heroes ke pass kuch values bhi hoti h. Brahmastra pt 1 me usne sacrifice ki value jani. Pt 2 and 3me ho skta h ki vo aur bhi values jane like justice, fighting for innocents etc.

Absolutely brilliant movie.
No the love story concept was so bad. so useless. So many parts of it couldve been replaced with a mother son love instead, or even shiva adopts the girl whose birthday it was and its the love between the dad and daughter. isha's character was so useles to the stories core. you couldve replaced her part with a male best friend and literally nothing wouldve changed. Just my 2 cents though. Strength through the love for his mother of for his 'daughter' wouldve been a much better concept.
I swear every single bollywood movies nowadays just crams a love story even if theres no need, like 7 songs which dont even make sense, a guy with 6 pack abs and superb hair and then a really hot dumb girl who is constantly in need of saving. it just makes so sense. if the story is good enough theres no need for a love story so over the top.
just me 2 cents on why i think people dont like the love story aspect. other than that it was a good movie cgi was amazing like transformers, dc, marvel level stuff. acting was eh sometimes. othertimes it was good. dialogue and some of the on screen choices that were made were just plain idiotic - no other wya to describe but it is an indian movie so it can only be expected.

I hate to break it to you, but what people calls “love” is just a chemical reaction that compels animals to breed. It hits hard, then it slowly fades away, leaving you stranded in a failing marriage. So many did it. You'll probably do it too, so do some justice to your tittle and focus on medical research.

Wow, I seriously missed to notice those two people wielding two entirely different Astras when Zor is attacking Isha, and Kavachastra too. My script is ready and I'm working on my video now. According to hindu religion, the Brahmastra, Agniastra, Narayanastra and other Astras are indeed highly destructive.
But there are several more important and powerful things that the Devtaas, holy Tridev and Tridevi possess that can nullify the destruction of these Astras easily.
These things are :
1. 8 Ashtasiddhis great powers
2. Kamdhenu - wish fulfilling cow
3. Kalpavriksha - wish fulfilling tree
4. Mahadev's legendary Naagmani
5. The nectar of immortality Amrit
6. The Chintamani gem that gives lots of worldly knowledge
7. The Sanjeevani ressurection knowledge
8. Power of huge boons granted by God or curses of holy sages
9. The holy Vedas
10. The power to see and control time
11. All Tantric knowledge and powers
(create magic protective shields and nullify attacks, know magic mantras and their abilities, acquire magic objects through rituals, communicate with spirits and ressurect or liberate them, shapeshift, transfer powers to a being, etc..)
12. The many forms of OM ( Tridev, AdiParashakti, 10 Mahavidyas, 9 Navdurga, 19 avatars of Mahadev, 10 avatars of Lord Vishnu, 8 forms of Lord Ganesh) that create and sustain the universe.
All the astras are inferior as compared to these 12 things.

It was clearly in the Deva Deva song- "to he havao ka jhoka me aag hu". The songs are not for mere timepass. They have been incorporated with some secret messages/Easter eggs. Even Isha has the same ring as Dev's. There are really gonna be some serious plot twists in second part.

Personally mujhe bohot iccha hai ki 3rd part me Shiva ek sath bohot saare Astra use kre.. kyuki koi bhi asta ko pehenne ki jagah aur ek jaise Astra nahi hai.. just imagine Shiva jiske ek hath me prabharstra, pehena hua kavachastra, baki astra jaise shield, elements wale sab asta, nandi astra hath me. Bohot jyada expectations hai but still 🥶
