Ancient cities had a more thoughtful design than modern cities...... structure, acoustic, beauty. They had it all.🤩 Edit: I hope some day there will be an Assassins Creed game where I can explore a Mayan city........ it's on my bucket list.

The history of the indigenous peoples in the Americas is much, much older than a few thousand years. And so is Tikal. We judge the Maya, Aztecs, Inca’s and others on the traces that we find. But when we dig our way from the present to the past, we must know that the Earth is suffering from a cycle of recurring natural disasters. That is told in the Popol Vuh. These disasters create a cycle of civilizations. There are four primitive civilizations. Sometimes mentioned a sun or world era. The next civilization lives in the fifth sun. This becomes eventually a high developed civilization that disappeared 20,000 years ago. Then the cycle starts again. During the first 4 suns the people were guided by alien deities. Also at the start of the fifth sun. At a certain moment in time, those deities leave the people alone. Led by fanatic priests, the people start offering more and more often and from fruits and animals, they started offering children and humans. They knew that after death, new life would occur and they wanted the deities to return. That is how the Aztec are remembered, but once they were high educated. They left us the sun stone, which is a 20,000 years old warning for this recurring disasters. To learn much more about the cycle of disasters and civilizations, recurring floods, ancient high tech and alien deities, read the e-book: "what I know about Nibiru". You can read it nicely on every computer, tablet or smartphone. Just search for: know Nibiru
Please, get updated about Arqueauology New Discoveries of Mayan Culture. Your article is old and obsolete. Now, with more research done, and more tools in technology, Archaeology has proven facts, contrary to old Arqueaology which was based more on Especulation. It was found out that Tikal was Conquered and Colonized by the Teotihuacans in 378 A.D., according to a Stela found written in Maya. Teotihucan was a very Advansed, Sophisticated and Powerful city in Central Mexico more so than Tikal. It was found also deep in the jungle near Tikal a city where the Teotihuacan warriors lived. The Pyramids of Tikal were made by the Teotihuacans, although, Mayans were the laborers. The belief that Tikal was built by Mayans, is part of the past. Arqueologists of the Past wrote their findings based on Especulation. Now, with Ladar Rays, Carbon 14, and Biotechnology testings, the findings are more accurate and Scientific.

I think in AC origins there’s a portion of a Maya city, it’s in an abandoned state but it’s there!

@@SpectreNDN Yeah it's beautiful, but those are just old ruins. It's not enough.
AC is dead.
Historical beauty but, deadly.

I sat atop temple 2 at dawn the morning of the spring equinox and watched the sun rise perfectly behind temple 1

I visited there in the late '70s and climbed to the top of the temple of the great (giant) jaguar. Glad I did, because it's nothing I could do now!
They liked playing some real Hard Ball!
Those steps are at 70 degrees . I can’t imagine how many workers died building those temples and what form of scaffolding they used in the process .
They are built in such a way that you have to look down when you climb them for reasons of religious hierarchies.
Interesting . Still ,it must have been murderous to build with a massive loss of life constructing it. In my opinion.
The rebel base on Yavin 4.....
Yep
Assassin's Creed New World...
피라미드 내부는 어떻게 되있지?
Se fueron construyendo pirámides nuevas sobre pirámides viejas. Eran sepulcros de los reyes.
But maybe...it was just volleyball :)
