Purple and orange both had family issues, orange having lost his kid and purple having being abandoned by his father in every way. While neither of them got to repair those bonds, they were pretty much exactly what they needed for each other. That's their "happy ending".

So yeah Orange's son wasn't sucked up and lost, he's flat out DEAD. Presumably Orange knew it (due to him drawing Xs on his kid and Mincraft earlier) and wasn't trying to get him back, he just flat out wanted to destroy Minecraft for what it took from him. Now Orange seems to have adopted Purple. Purple wants a dad and Orange wants a son so it works out. The End.

Alan stated that the king "knows that his kid is dead", and the king was always seeking revenge.
However, seeing Purple nearly dying the same way his kid did make the king realize he could care for Purple instead.
That's my interpretation, anyway.

King and Purple each lost some kind of person in their life that they are trying to get back, and they each fill the role the other needs, like a puzzle. I think their stories is a good example of moving on after you lose someone or thing you love.

This was absolutely amazing, the story of The King and Purple, the battle between The King and the Gang, and the realization that Purple is representation of his kid, and he's like a father figure was absolutely beautiful. The hug between them almost made me cry. This was one of the most amazing animation that I've seen on TH-cam. Alan's come a long way since his first video and I'm glad to have experienced the finale of AVM with the you, and the Saucegang! I'm so excited what Alan's going to create next.

Orange took purple in cause he reminds him of his son, little yellow. Little yellow is straight up dead to the head. He got deleted and corrupted with the Minecraft files in Orange's past. Both of them lost someone. So both went to live with each other to be a father and son. Something they didn't get in the past.

Purple lost his dad, king lost his son so by the end they realize that the king resembles a father figure for purple and purple is represented as the king's son. That is why at 26:40 the king stops because he notices that purple has resembled his son since he met him. So the king saves purple because purple is his second chance to save his son. Hope everything makes sense now :)

In 29:38 when Tsc dunks the Staff in the nether portal, it was a reference to where in the first episode where tsc instead dunks the minecraft grassblock in the trashbin which is a reference to the first episode
Two things.
1. Out of all the people to not get the technoblade reference I'm surprised you were one of them.
2. Purple is missing is father and Orange King is missing his son. Purple is replacing Orange King's son and Orange King is replacing Purple's father. They have accepted that neither of them are coming back.

Orange lost his kid and Purple lost his father. After his mother died, he couldn't reach his dad, so he felt alone without a family or friends. Purple, wanting to prove to someone that he is someone who can help and in hopes of creating a friend, he joins Orange's plan to take over Minecraft. However, despite Orange's cruel behavior towards Purple when he was getting close to the vengeance he wanted, he started to see Purple as his own son but tried to keep those thoughts buried deep. Although Purple was showing much of a behavior that he saw in his own son and that kept him rethinking his idea until it was nearly too late (when Purple almost died). Therefore I believe it stands for the fact that he couldn't stop what has happened in the past and he can't change it out of vengeance, but he can start something new, that of which he was blinded by his own hate to realize it.

In purple's arc, Purple wants his father back. He found someone that he would appreciate just like his father. Orange, too, wanted to find someone he loved, but when the Minecraft world took his son, He was swimming in anger, his main goal was to take revenge on the Minecraft world. Purple was helping him on whatever he's up to. But Orange didn't take any of that. His only goal was to take revenge. And revenge is not a solution. He figured it out later at the end.

Orange is not trying to find his son. He's trying to avenge him. His drawing on the wall says "Minecraft destroyed my son, then I will destroy Minecraft." He stopped when he realized he was becoming the thing he swore to destroy when he saw Purple, who saw Orange as a father figure, about to be deleted by him. His son is never coming back. But he at least can do right by Purple.

When little yellow got sucked into the minecraft world black hole, his colour turned purple. King orange's son is little yellow/purple!
Orange king’s son did die in the flashbacks, cuz that connection to his virtual world was terminated forever. I think the hint to his son being truly dead, is the fact that when his server got corrupted, his screen said, error, connection terminated and the sound it made for a moment sounded like when someone flatlines in a hospital. I took that as an indication that his son truly died and couldn’t come back. Orange wasn’t studying all that stuff in the flashbacks to get his son back, but to actually destroy the game itself. His motivation was “the game took my son’s life and him away from me, so im gonna destroy the game”
Orange king ended up seeing purple as his “son” by taking him under his wing when going though his evil arc. He def saw more resemblances when he was about to kill him as we kept seeing the flashbacks switching from showing purple and showing orange’s son.
Purple, who’s backstory we saw in a previous episode, had a pretty abusive and horrible father. So the reason he sucked up to orange king so much is because he saw him as a father figure in his life compared to his dad. He wanted to make him proud, the way he didn’t with his bio father.
So like the other comments have been saying, through this journey together, orange king and purple ended up moving on by building a bond and relationship together, orange got his “son” in a sense, as he redeemed himself by saving purple when he couldn’t save his son; and purple ended up finding a father figure in his life that, in the end, cared for him and loved him. So purple is not literally orange king’s son from the flashbacks, but he’s rather his adopted son as he took him under his wing which healed the emotional damage left from his first son’s death. It was a redemption relationship for the both of them. I think it is a beautiful story Alan created and he weaved it together so amazingly!!

Just finished my own watch, I was doing stuff during the premier, And I am flabbergasted, I'm speechless, I'm... I'm all the words!!! I don't cry at movies/videos idky, but I get pretty darn close and this is no exception. The amount of time I thought someone was Canon perma-Dead was through the roof and I hated it, and that's why it's great lol.That slow realization that King had become the very thing he'd sought to destroy is just heartbreaking, but also, these guys' forgiveness level is off the charts, like omg XD

I choose to think that The Second Coming's somersault after slamming the Double Minecraft Icon to the ground was because Alan's PC was lagging under 100% CPU utilization to reverse the deletion. Not much processing power left for things like somersaults and gravity and physics simulation XD

let me try to explain the ending a little bit. the king"s son is dead. yeah.. sorry it"s been confirmed by alan himself. and the king kind of knows that his son is dead. but out of pure anger and frustration, he ends up trying to look for him anyway. along the way, he meets purple; who also doesn"t have a dad. purple kind of sees the king as a father figure for himself. and he wants to please him so the king takes him as a son. and they kind of bonded in that time. but, as we saw, the king betrays him multiple times. and so that motivates purple to work with the gang and stop him. but then, when the king was almost killing purple, he saw his own son in him. he saw that his son and purple arent really that different. and the same thing that minecraft did to his son, he was doing to purple. so he finally realized that him and purple are perfect for each other. so he stoped his rage and the rest is history. I hope that was easy to follow😁
