Thanks so much for this. James Mason is one of my all time favourite actors - I've watched so many of his films but I always go back to 'Odd Man Out' (1947), where he is the moving force. A little known fact about him was that he was a trained architect who studied at Cambridge. Very impressive man! I like the upbeat music at the end, leaving me with an upbeat feeling. That a person's memorial can be a source of joy and happiness for their achievements, for what they've left behind for others to enjoy.
James Mason was great in Salem's Lot starring alongside David Soul. He played the part to perfection exuding that underlying sinister tone to his character throughout. Thanks for making and posting this video. 😊
What a stunning place......Switzerland is.....fantastic video....as always.....James Mason always seemed to be very reserved and gentle....looking forward to the next one
What a wonderful video. I was aware that this was not James Masons original house as Sam Neill, my favourite Actor, was an under study of James Mason and lived with him and his Wife for a short while, finding acting work in the UK and Europe . He described it in an interview i saw him in.
Wow Lt your the best what a stunning video Switzerland looks absolutely georgeous James mason was a wonderful actor remarkable voice what’s your accent thankyou Lt this was amazing 👍🏻❤️😊
That was a good one. I had no idea he was buried there let alone so close to Charlie chaplain. I remember James Mason well. I thought he was great in salems lot .
I hope the beautiful Redwood tree stays and if anything has to go it's the ugly house built without any foresight. Pity there wasn't a photo of James's house for comparison. I especially liked the walk in the vineyards. Thanks for the interesting upload.
Your videos are very professionally done. The research is always done very professionally as well. Thank you for taking me on this trip to Switzerland today.
What a wonderful place. Thanks for going there and sharing your visit with us. My favorite film is North by Northwest. It is interesting that he was an animal lover and animal rights activist. Too bad about the tree, I hope it is not cut down. Hug a tree.
I really enjoyed this video. James Mason was before my time but I discovered him in film and never really knew much about him. Stars were real stars then - wildly talented yet mysterious, not like the celebrities of today.
Odd man out 1947 was fantastic, i saw it when i was 12 y old, and Mason was my fav actor from there on. I was surprised he stayed friends with dificult genius Stanley Kubrick, one of the few.
its a shame how his career went after fighting the studios to get out of is longterm contract in hollywood he was blacklisted and ended up following his pal charlie chaplin to switzerland where he would accept many unworthy t v and movies because he needed money him and charlie where hounded out of america ,pity he was as good as burton at his peak. great as usual L T
What i like bout Europe... you build roads around buildings. Not know down buildings to put roads in.. So much history. Here in the usa roads once where cemeteries were.
