Kota Doria Sarees - Sarees that are traditionally woven on a pit loom resulting in checked pattern which is termed as 'khat' by master weavers from Kota, Rajasthan. 'Doria' literally means 'Thread'.The checked pattern which makes them transparent is one of the distinctive features of Kota doria fabric. One of the favorites of the Rajasthan royalty, these sarees are light textured and weightless.
These sarees are woven in white or beige and then dyed in various colors and are easy to maintain since they are mostly woven in cotton. A perfect handloom saree for any occasion. Find them in beautiful prints only at Prashanti!
