The best strategy I have for this mission is to get everything done except for the mission task with all the tank extractions. Then go into the mission with your fastest soldier in Raiden outfit. Equip night vision, a combat shield, and zorn smoke. When you start seeing tanks, request air support weather modification to sandstorm. Equip NVG and enemy cant see you. Run around and extract the tanks as soon as you see em. Once you see the task pop after the last tank extraction, fulton a shipping crate and ride it out of there. You won't get any mission completion reward, but you will have that final god damn mission task completed and don't need to worry about losing it if you die trying to finish the mission. Its stupid, unecessarily hard, and not at all fun, but thats how I got the last task.

After dying 100 times I literally beat this mission aww man what a challenge I love Metal Gear so much I wish I can go back 20 years when I was a little kid With my PS1 and Metal gear solid playing the Shadow Moses mission with Solid Snake from morning till night I miss this series it will forever be my favorite Solid Snake will forever be my childhood hero

The problem I have is one of the 3 when trying to do this. 1. Tanks are not missing me and are killing me 2. Humans are killing me and quiet not shooting them at all 3. If everything goes too well, quite decides to shoot the tanks I'm extracting and blows it up in front of me.
Use the parasite armor. (Try to upgrade the armor) Zigzag and tell Quiet to cease cover. I also strongly recommend using an athlete on direct contract. I recommend the serval AMR-7 rifle due to it being semi-auto and able to shoot personnel and the chopper.
I absolutely despise the poor fire support Quiet gives in this mission. Not only the tanks, but I have to worry about the bloody foot soldiers constantly shooting at me.

Actually, I think it’s one hell of a mission. It’s nice to once not see snakes ass undulating under his sneaking suit while I crawl in mud to get past two dudes smoking a cigarette.
Use decoys, the tanks and APCs will stop to shoot them so youre not running along waiting for them to stop. And maybe use Parasite Mist to reduce their visibility... just a couple of extra ideas to streamline this process. Other than that, great strategy because this mission is the fucking worst and doesn't really belong in Metal Gear. I feel had for those who haven't got upgraded stuff and the Parasite suit, how did Kojima expect people to deal with this shit. This had Michael Bay levels of stupidity coded into it.
I tried to go with no killing. So I use stun rifles to the soldier. But I'm struggling with the armor. I tried not to use any de-rank stuff as well. So I use Battle Dress. But for some reason I died a lot, I cant go to far to extract, so Quiet end up destroying the tanks... I'll try this parasite one

yup, 1 is just the standard annoyance of fighting lots of tanks but the combination of 2 and 3 is absolutely maddening lol

Can't you just use your 100% stealth thingy or will they still see you?
Enemy is always on alert during this part so the stealth camo doesn't really work
Use the lil chick hat (restart checkpoint 6 times) and parasite armor to make this trivial

just take the autocannon tank, and hide behind the main building, and use it for cover while shooting past the water tank.
