Xavi is leaving Barcelona. This is his last season as the head coach of Blaugrana.

Just think, if they can force THE Pep Guardiola out within four years, the man who built the greatest teams in history twice in 4 years, then who is Xavi or Valverde or anyone else? Xavi's leaving has always been Abt the things he says to us the supporters. He makes it seem "like this is it, I can't do anything abt this any longer". That's the vibe he lets off. He should have been circumspect with some of his utterances. He did Soo well last year and then the squad was beefed up for him then he started slumping.

With an injury stricken team, most of the players are not even world class or serious minded individuals. The coaching team is the problem not Xavi not the players. Good summary, for sure, but I think one point is missing: When Xavi addresses the media and says "there will never be an Alex Ferguson here, you won't allow it", he clearly insinuates that there's toxicity coming from the press. Facing questions as to why the club isn't currently as great as the press expects it to be, can be hard. There's almost an expectation to win every game, whoever the opponent, and regardless of internal struggles (injuries, underperforming players, stress, etc.). I think that can take away from the joy. The only thing that surprises me is that Xavi, of all people, ought to know that feeling. Ought to know the stress Barca coaches face. Ought to know the press. So perhaps the background noise around Laporta, Mendes, and Deco do matter, as he would presumably not have known those dynamics in great detail. Being given empty promises, still piling on from their end. Sad to see him go, but hopefully he'll have more fun in the job at the next stop.
I believe DECO is the main issue. Since his arrival, things at Barça have been going awry

Chavi's right their will never be anything good coming as long as a coach is put under the insane influence of Laporte and Deco, I'm sure he knew it when Deco arrived and started trying to get his hands on running the whole operation and telling Laporte basically he can win it all with Deco which immediately pressured Chavi if the stories are true and they ignored Chavi requests to make splashes with their signing processes, Laporte is crumbling under his own pressure and the advice of others, what's bad is the only coach they will want is Deco's friend Marquez and the players who came to Barcelona because of Chavi are doomed, of course we see the underperformence of certain players and the lack of money, if I was Chavi I wouldn't want to be thinking of Barcelona for quite a while he knows the pressures of the fans, who can be down right divisive, they are not like the fans of other clubs, who chat yell and scream support, it's going to get worse before it gets better alot worse.

Xavi also made the mistake of overestimating Frenkie de Jong, which is particularly questionable given his efficiency. All backgrounds of who are and are not friends with each other is a normal phenomenon. So Xavi, just like Frenkie, is a person of integrity, but both lack the balls and the killer instinct ;-).
