In Document. Write, no new line element is given ... Like .... by default side by side browser shows ...

this happens because var v= 5 and let l = 7 is global , and inside if condition you are not again defining the variable instead you are assigning the value to those variable declared above which are already global so the output is 5577 if you want to see the change then you should again define the variable and it's value inside if for example ( inside if write let l = 77 ) this will cause the l variable to use it's value inside if and not global
