it's seen in the game Hunt Showdown ! that's so amazing how such a steampunk-looking but smart loading system is far to be unrealistic! that's so well choosen from the Crytek devs! kudos to them! as well as the genius who designed this!

The Blofs was a similar after market magazine system except it was a giant carousel type magazine the shotgun fit in and tiny Keebler elves reloaded your shot gun after you fired. After a few catastrophic malfunctions it was discontinued. To this day Keebler still makes Fudge Stripe cookies to remember those lost and their families

It's not the gun, the magazine could be added to most single shot shotguns. The magazine was sold separate and then people put it on whatever they wanted. Someone should start producing them again. There'd be a waiting list for sure.
This is honestly one of the most exotic historic shotgun that I’ve ever come across. You don’t see many break action shotguns with this unique loading action.

I can see why they didn't continue being a thing in the fire arm world but you have to admit the levels of satisfaction shooting and watching that work is insane. I wants it
The frustration of having it jam from being installed just slightly wrong, or you not cycling it quite right, or the struggle of having to reload it would probably get old fast though, these things didn't catch on for multiple reasons. Still cool as fuck.
This is one of the most interesting semi auto configurations I’ve ever seen. I like how the break over motion is used to cycle the new shell into the barrel.

Othais dug one of these up years ago and did a video a while back. Ian had one of these for a long while before he covered it. The main obstacle seems to be that they need a lot of futzing with before they actually work.
There was a guy that made a video and was trying to fix his Alof's Reloader. He also had plans to make more seeing as how the patent has long since expired and I'm sure if you search it up you'll find the video.

I remember my grandpa having my great grandpa's old Iver Johnson single shot 12ga with one of those on it. He never shot it and it dissapeared before I could inherit it with his gun collection

It was actually cheaper to buy a single shot Iver Johnson and an Alofs mechanism than it was to buy a purpose built pump action shotgun.
Especially because pretty much everybody already owned a single-shot break-action shotgun back then.

It’s a regular break action with the alofs magazine attached to it, it’s meant to be a pump action but you didn’t have to buy a new gun

I learned about it from Othais at C&Rsenal. I think his initial video on it is what started to drive to have it added to Hunt
