I love your newer focus of microbrands Peter! You’re constantly introducing me to watches that don’t make me feel like I’d have to hurt my family to afford. Only problem is being introduced to too many of them! Gorgeous photography and outstanding writing too. Yours is truly one of the best channels out there and I know the watch community will eventually figure that out!
Touché guys. If the microbrands can do it, that just goes to show how much more the watch community is paying, for less or just for the 'Swiss made' labels, which are 60% or more made in China. The recent rise of microbrands have given the big boys a run for their money. Anyone worth their salt as a watch enthusiast or watching Peter's vids will know better. Great watches don't have to come with even Greater price tags.
The Shellback is perhaps one of the most beautiful divers ive ever seen. Nearly every design choice is one that i agree with, especially those bracelet links that give the watch some of the fun, alternating lightplay of the integrated bracelet watches. Also amazing date implementation.
Tusenö is steadily putting out amazing watches, with great values, and this V2 is a huge upgrade from an already excellent model. Nice work as always buddy 🥂
Probably one of the best date complication integrations a dial has ever seen! The curved “Shellback” read through the port hole on the hour hand is still top notch!
I like how it “oozes Explore II vibes”, while still having its own design language. They hit that balance perfectly. If they did a version with a SW330 in it, it would be a true Explorer II-killer. As it is, it leaves very little to desire in the Exp II, unless one is really drawn to the Rolex name. I love that they’ve hardened it, too. I’d take that over easily-scratched 904L (sorry, “Oystersteel” lol) any day. Great review, Peter. Thanks for putting this one back on my radar.
The new version of the Tusceno is a winner in all catahories... style, movement and lume. It is also priced to go particularly at the pre-order price. Terrific video, Peter! I am also glad you clarified the watch coming with a half link.
Ordered the white this morning with the free tropic strap and optional half link! Love the brushed bezel and date window. Absolute polar vibes but with it's own unique character (imo). The SW200 is excellent. Loved the grainy feel and accuracy in my now sold Oris. The value here is very very good. I own some fancy pieces, but I am very much looking forward to summer adventures with this guy. A great offering regardless of price.
I'm loving the blue version. I'm impressed by the correction, but more information on how to complete an order to include them would be good. This brand is definitely on my radar. Thank you 😊
Nice and simple designs. Love that they decided to go with the SW200 movement 😊👍🏻 I must say that the date integration is one of the best I’ve seen thus far. Furthermore, I love changing straps on my watch and the seamless quick release on the bracelet is a nice bonus. Thanks for sharing Peter!
Thank you Pete for another excellent review. I have you to blame for loving Tuseno and for owning 3 of their watches: the original Shellback in blue, Windseeker in orange, and Windseeker in blue. These watches pack tremendous specs, the quality is outstanding, fit & finish is excellent, and value for money is exceptional. The Shellback V2 promises to be even better thanks to the improvements you noted. I'm in love with the white dial version 😍 At a launching price of $599 may be hard to resist ... Thank you my friend for sharing. Be well.
Great review, new brand on me but seriously good looking pieces! I'd just spotted the half link on their site, came to post just as you cut in yourself with the info :)
The Version 2 comes with the female endlinks, which only improves the wearability for people with smaller wrists 👍 this is a winner in so many aspects and if your pocket (or watch box / winder) allows it, it's an excellent time piece to pull the trigger. Thanks Peter, for another great reveiw 👍😊
Peter, I love your reviews. You're a great videographer. It's very cool how you show the lume segments - no lume, then bang! Here's the lume! I'll see if I can find the $ to buy this watch, after all the date for pre-orders is my birthday. 😊
I also have this experience with on-the-fly micro-adjustment, though on a different watch. The range of the micro-adjust is not wide enough to compensate for a whole link in the bracelet. This must be a common problem too in standard hole-type micro-adjust.
@KMV007 the heritage look of aluminium is nice, up until that first scratch comes in, and then it's all tears. 😭 Adrian Barker knows only too well with his scratched Rolex Kermit. I suspect it is why he prefers the Explorer. I have a Tudor black Bay 41 ETA, and I baby it because of the aluminium bezel. I'll probably end up selling it for something more rugged.
Peter, did you find the bracelet finishing good quality. I have seen a few reviews that said the edges were a little sharp, to the extent they may catch on clothing or other materials. It's the one thing holding me back form buying. i'm hoping it's something that was snagged in the earlier models and upgraded or changed if true.

I bought the first version after your video, really nice piece & still in my collection. I'm curious as to why they removed the lume pip? I liked the design detail with the polished circular frame around the pip too, I liked the vintage touch and it was easily visible at night. White dial on this pops and nice to see the Sellita 🔥
Originally when I reviewed v1, I didn't like the Lume pip, however it grew on me over time. That said, the intensity of the triangle in this v2 version is very impressive.. so no real loss in performance, just aesthetics. 👍
At first glance I though yet another generic dive watch from a microbrand. But there are enough differences to say it has its own flavour and flair. And nicely designed, especially the funky hour hand and sandwich style dial. And the SW200 is a mighty little machine. Defo the white for me. The blue is way more generic. The white feels fresh and I like the steel bezel
Both good watches...you really cant go wrong with either. It comes down to personal choice bro..The Tuseno will probably wear a little taller than the Wise..bear that in mind .
I like the look of this and would have been tempted to order. BUT, a very vague 'Summer 2024' delivery window, and £150/$150 cancellation fee is putting me off.
Hey Peter, would you recommend this watch for an 8 inch wrist? Normally i can´t go lower than 41mm width, but these look quite large on your 18cm wrist...
Checked out this video. I'm a big fan of good, quality Micro brand watches and have bought at least 25 in the past 5 years. Most are gone from my collection, sorry to say. But this Tuseno is driving me crazy. How? I've been looking at it for days now. I can't get over the design, specs., and price. I get lots of emails about watches for sale. Everything from Rolex, Omega, and everything else. I just went through at least 10 emails of great watches. Each email listed about 15 watches. Most are Rolex and Omega. But when looking at these watches I didn't see anything more interesting than this Tuseno. There is no way I should be buying this watch with my bloated watch collection. But I will be there on Dec. 14 at 8 Am MT (US) to get this one!!
It's interesting, both the white and the blue dials have some real strengths. The white one is probably less conventional so it is understandable why it has a stronger appeal
Will the black version also reappear? Largely due to the fact that it is a dive watch, I didn't go for it last time. It is still a dive watch, but it is still a very likeable one! With the added improvements, the package as a whole is even more attractive (hopefully they do include the half links in that). I notice that the lumed triangle on the stainless steel bezel is narrower, as well as overall a cleaner bezel. I would have loved to see that for the blue version too. The bezels is usually where a dive watch distances itself from me. They're just too present and too toolish (and I can't imagine using them anyway), so cleaner and with more modest markings is better generally, for me. I'd still be really interested in seeing Tusenö doing a dressier version of this Shellback. I think that could be such an interesting watch. It would also be great to see perhaps another colour done in the blue dial finish, e.g. a deep murky green. But I get that dress is not where the crowd is at and it speaks volumes that this watch is so hard to forget even though it is out of my usual remit. The Windseeker also exerted a pull on me, but something held me back. It's one that I keep revisiting. I want Tusenö to do well, because I can easily imagine them providing something I just can't say no to, but I'm still not sure if I will go for one of the existing ones.
@@PeterKotsaspotted this on their website: "Want more adjustment? Add half-links to your cart during the pre-order.", so it doesn't sound that there will be half links included.
Great review Peter. Just want to add my 2 cents. When I saw the white one I felt like 'Ah I whish they made the bezel a White Ceramic Glossy one as well. that would really stand out!' . But it's just me. Otherwise perfectly scaled design elements and a very positively restrained watch. love it. What do you think?
Thats something I didn't consider, yes that would be nice. It would probably wear much larger on the wrist due to its visual appearance though..who knows. Good call..👍
It would be great if they could slim this down to under 12mm and with a flat sapphire crystal (like what the Windseeker has). That's the only thing I'd change.
I've been following this brand since your last review of their v1 shellback. I was really hoping they release a smaller version of a 39 or 38mm. I really want a black no date smaller shellback. Guess I'll have to wait for next year again. I hope they send you lots of cookies for this review 😂
Potentially yes..but that said, I think its on the limit of comfort at this size...another mm or two could have benefited (as long as the watch head remains stable on the top)..👍
Out of the two, I still like the black better.More versatile and great pop and contrast on that dial. That said, I am leaning towards this white dial this time as its very fresh on the eyes 👍

Why do they removed the lume pip on the bezel insert?? For me is a downgrade. Leaving that as just a plain triangle breaks with the rest of the design and its kind of plain...
Personally I didn’t like it on the original v1. After several months it grew on me though Now with this version that triangle (albeit a little naked) is so much brighter as far as lume goes 👍 Six of one, half a dozen of the other
Hi Peter. Very pretty watch! Well placed price for a micro-brand equipped with a Sellita movement. Diameter a little contained for serious wrists, but in today's fashion. Really interesting.👍
Probably one of the best design integrations of a date window. There was nothing wrong with the Ronda movement of version 1. There is one thing I'm not particularly keen on, it's the way they designed the hour hand. I get it, the aperture is supposed to go over the Shellback writing, but the hour hand itself ends up being kind of ugly, as it reminds me of a crow's beak.
I love this watch, but 600 for a microbrand is too expensive, I mean the tech part is great but it has not the heritage. around 399 should be perfect (for me)
These watches are assembled in Switzerland, using a Sellita movement which is also 100% Swiss made. If you want a 400 dollar watch, get a Zelos that is made in China.
@@KMV007 hi, I really don t agree with u. Alpina is a swiss brand and u can find it under 600 D, same for some tissot, certina, festina victorinox, swatch, jdm, hamilton etcetc. pls try not to be rude, I was not rude with u.
@@dendricalabro5058 None of the brands you mentioned is even close to offering the quality of this watch. For example Hamilton Khaki Scuba is 1000 dollars and has an aluminium bezel, poor bracelet, poor case design and horrible lume.
@@dendricalabro5058 agreed being Swiss made is not the end all be all, however, if you look at some of the examples you listed, Hamilton, Certina, Tissot.....any of those in their respective true dive watch (200M) models with automatic movements, are well over $600. A Seiko 5 that's not a real dive watch (100M) is $350. I haven't had a chance to see a Tuseno in real life, but the online reviews of the quality and craftsmanship have all been very well, so it might very well justify the price. True, it doesn't have brand recognition, but based on the quality (from the reviews), the Swiss manufacturing, automatic movement, and true 200M dive watch, this might actually be a bargain.
Yeah, they're killing it in the copy cat category. 😂😂😂😂 When they come out with models that are original, look and work great, then they will be "killing it". Making copies is not.

They should've kept the R150. Don't know why they wanted to switch over to the standard SW200.
From my understanding, accessibility of parts etc..more readily available maybe??..
braclet looks like Formex
If you had to spend your own money, would you buy it?😊
This one a big YES 👍
Wonderful brand. But the long lugs, the pricing and also the logo is not my favorite. You can get a known brand for the same.
sound like food, Tocino.
I liken it to a Mercedes hand that's been shot through with a bullet..lol

Awful but thanks.
Yeah, they're killing it in the copy cat category. 😂😂😂😂 When they come out with models that are original, look and work great, then they will be "killing it". Making copies is not.
Who did they copy?
