I really love Dior as Clarisse. She’s so perfect for the role. That laugh and then her scream when Percy breaks her spear was so good. Can’t wait to see more of her.
If she’s able to convey that kind of emotion over a broken spear I can only imagine what how she’ll do it with another certain heartwenching moment towards the end of Last Olympian….
Clarisse father Aries the Greek God of war has always been the most ruthless of all the Olympian and the most disliked even his own father Zeus king of mount Olympus. He brought on the end of the gods interaction with mortals
@@StarForgedTCG first of all they're supposed to be kids not adults and this clarrisse actually fits the character Second of all, she acted really good for clarrise and im already convinced shes her. The only issue i have with this show is annabeth
What’s her problem with Percy, he doesn’t deserve to be treated like that from Clarisse, and Percy is the one who tried to be nice to her, so what does she have against this dude
as far as I remember, her dad looks down on her and she feels kinda pressured by him to be better, her dad’s a huge prick in general so it kinda runs in the family a bit too.
the entirety of the pjo series is about children taking after their parents, which include personality, fears, capability, weaknesses Makes for really good drama
Why is she swinging it look at her after her first 2 swings in any other fight against someone else she would have died she had her whole body weight flung to the side by the spear. The fight looks nice but I just can’t stop thinking of how idiotic clarrise is
Ok look I'm not saying that I hate that they made Clarisse black, but wasn't there a whole thing in the book where Ares assisted her with confederate zombie soldiers? Isn't that like gonna be a whole issue? Like, they can't just take that stuff out cuz that stuff was comedic.
Well, the way I see it there's two options: A) They use another boat from the losers of another war. B) Clarisse abuses the hell out of her crew for being Confederates and so does everyone else, and it's hilarious. What are they gonna do? Be racist to the daughter of their boss who is also a god? Anyone who was dumb enough to try probably got vaporized or repurposed into engine parts by Ares in the intervening 160 years, the soldiers remaining would know to keep their traps shut.
Huh. So Percy doesn’t get mauled from getting stabbed, or from a dog which was a major detail in the book. Somehow he Mary sued his way through clarrise without the help of water as well. And I thought this show would be good.
it really wasn’t a major detail. i genuinely forgot that happened until you mentioned it and i’ve read the books several times. they can’t include every single tiny little thing from the books. also they cant show a ton of violence against children on screen without changing the maturity rating. this is a children’s show. it’s okay to just enjoy things and have an open mind
@@daylilyblake they can’t, but the hound is summoned into camp which is done by Luke to frame hades. @@gandalfthewhite.5245 there’s violence, it’s just can’t be in excess. rick wrote this for kids. the content allowed on page vs on screen is different. so if they need to leave out a mauling of a 12 year old but rather still have him hurt, then im fine with that. and yeah you’re right the dog is framing hades but they replaced it with chiron explaining it’s hades. well done creature cgi is expensive and this show was already one of the most expensive disney+ productions. im just allowing myself to appreciate a very well done and relatively faithful adaptation and not criticize tiny details so i can actually enjoy myself and not be bitter by stuff that doesn’t affect the actual story in the long run. it’s fun to enjoy things even if they aren’t 1000000% perfect

Yeah, and she’s also taller, older, and a hell of a lot more intimidating than him. However you spin it, a 12 year old boy’s not gonna be able to fight off a 16 year old girl. Especially not one who’s been training to fight for years
Fun fact! in the final book of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Last Olympian, Clarisse takes on a role mirroring Achilles in the Iliad, refusing to fight because she and her cabin thought they were wronged. This becomes important when Clarisse and the Ares cabin come to the rescue halfway through the battle. The thing is, it's not Clarisse, It's another camper, Selina, who had stolen her friend's armor to help out the rest of camp, which Mirrors Patroclus, Achilles ' (very male) lover. The mirroring of Patroclus' sacrifice to Selina's was very intentional on Rick's part, whether or not it means the two women were in love remains up to interpretation, but it would be ignorant to deny that Selina would not have done what she had done if she didn't care about Clarisse more then life itself.
