Yeah my dumbass was turning the wrong string while tuning and was like “why the hell wont this change pitch?” So naturally I just kept turning it higher and higher and snapped a totally different string.
I've been playing 33 years and I'm still learning everyday, man I wish I'd had all of your videos when I was younger but having said that I'm still learning something on every episode, thanks for the accurate and informative content.
Thanks for the tutorial... I broke two of my new strings after changing them and didn't feel like driving far to get them replaced. It looks pretty simple, the way you explained it. I might need experience, but at least know where to start. Subbed.
that link didn't bring me to a video on cleaning the fretboard, it just brought me back to the start of the chapter in this video about cleaning the fretboard
Thank u for the instructions... Direct and straight to the point. Didn't know about needing to bend the strings before placing under pin. I learnt something... Great job!
Thank you, it was very useful. It was my first time replacing a broken string, and there were some very good tips I didn't even think taking into account.
I had a cheap acoustic guitar once and found that after tuning all the strings the top and bottom E strings were out of tune. Any suggestions as to the cause of this and how to cure it? I don't have this guitar now but I am still curious as to what I should have done.
Haha, don't worry Poo. It looks scary first but it's totally safe. To be fair, I don't know any luthiers who use plastic pin pullers at all. Most of them will use a string cutter and obviously not one pin had ever been damaged. //cheers, Kris
I’m just speaking for myself. If the opportunity to scratch is available my lack of coordination will scratch , chip, crack, or ding it. I’m like a wizard of b stocking 🤣
I hope you mean that they touch behind the nut, at the tuners. 😅 If that's the case, even though it's not ideal it's not a big issue either. Cheers //Kris
I give up! I have spent the past 5 hours to get one side done. A little critique I have is to be aware some of us have dyslexia and things that can be simple for normal people are extremely difficult for those of us with conditions that affect the way our brain processes directions. Speeding up when placing strings on the other side was enough to leave me completely helpless and confused once I tried to figure out which direction to start turning the tuning pegs. I have gone back and forth without being able to figure out which direction is correct. I'm not an idiot , my brain has a very difficult time trying to process directional movements while anything very complex I can do without a second thought. Please be aware that some of us have conditions that affect the way we process information and don't speed up assuming everyone is able to understand . I ruined my strings and accomplished absolutely nothing but losing money on strings and wasting 5 hours getting stressed. I need to take my guitar to a guitar shop before I break it. I have played for almost 3 years and have not yet found any tutorial that I am able to understand how to change my own strings because everyone fast forwards when they do the other side.
Best advice to players, dont take any advice from someone that uses wire cutters on your bridge pins. These people are called crybaby morons. The break their bridge pins and then wine and cry about the faulty pin.
This is the best video of all. It goes into detail about the bridge pins and the winding pattern. Perfect! Also best camera angles.

I really don't need to watch this, yet I still did. That guitar sounds really great.

That one over then the rest down has helped so much for tuning stability on my acoustic and especially my Les Paul electric. Great video! Thanks.
First time changing acoustic strings and I had no problems at all. Thank you so much! Great Video!

Basic and essential info, yet, I learned something new, after 40 years, not sure if I should be happy or ashamed (both?).
Hands down the best video to follow up clearly.
Thank you, it was very useful. It was my first time replacing a broken string, and there were some very good tips I didn't even think taking into account.

Great video! I hope you can discuss how to fix the intonation of an acoustic guitar :)
Should you use the same bridge pin on the same string each time you restring?
can someone tell me the name & model of this guitar he is using? It looks like a Maton but can't seem to figure out the model. Thanks
After fixed string the bridge pin lifting up when I tune my guitar what is problem?

My fifth and sixth string are touching when I try to tighten them….
I hope you mean that they touch behind the nut, at the tuners. 😅 If that's the case, even though it's not ideal it's not a big issue either. Cheers //Kris
