AD should be in a whole another tier between A and S. He’s clearly better than Chet and Wemby but he’s not in the same tier as Jokic or Embiid
They made the mistake of putting two rookies in A early. AD should have been A and they should have shifted down to B. The tier list doesn't have to start at C and up lol
Just make the list with + AND - , thats simple, AD is a A+, Chet and Wemby right now are A- and Bam is A.
same with Sabonis is B+ or A- comparing to the rest of B.

I feel like both sides are right. It's abundantly clear that Jokic and Embiid are miles above everyone else, so putting AD on the same tier feels wrong. At the same time, it also feels wrong to put AD, a legitimate top 10 player, on the same level as Chet and Wemby, who are great players in their own right, but are literal rookies and haven't proven all that much yet. I feel like there needs to be a tier in between S and A specifically for AD.

the problem is AD is clearly not on the same level as Jokic and Embiid, and at the same time also far better than those in A tier. He actually belongs in his own tier, between A and S tier. Either put Jokic and Embiid on a higher tier, or create a level just for him.
Sabonis below anything but A-tier is wild. He's currently the third or fourth best center in the league. Wemby and Chet will be better than him, but Domas is a double-double every night and a walking legit potential triple-double any day of the week right now. He's the second best passing big in the league, he is one of the best players finishing around the basket in terms of FG%, and he is possibly the best rebounder in the NBA right now. The only knock against him is that he's an average defender. But he's able to be an elite scorer, playmaker, and rebounder. Plus he's consistent and durable/tough enough to stay playing even through injuries.
Chet above Sengun and Sabonis is wild.

This is one of the most casual videos I've ever seen. Kat and Porzingis are 1000% A tier. Especially Porzingis. Firstly he creates shots a ton and he's underrated AF defensively. He's straight up better than Chet as an overall player and Wemby isn't there yet either. Gotta remember not to just look at highlights and stats. Bam,KAT,and KP all should be same tier and they should be above Wemby and Chet.

AD has S-tier stats but gotta be on A-tier because of his team record so far. No excuses for being under .500 halfway through the season and 9th in the West.

Nah I gotta weigh in here, i think Isaac's point is valid, the whole reason we have an "S" tier is too differentiate shit that is truly transformative and special, so to me there is a difference between S tier and the other tiers. I rank Anthony Davis as the 9th best player in the worlld, and even I understand Isaac's argument. If you over-use S tier it dilutes its impotrance.I think Wembanyama, Gobert, Towns, Adebayo and Sabonis are all on that next tier. I'm much less convinced of including Holmgren on that tier as the others, because as much as i love him i do think he's a bit behind them. It is complicated though, cause i agree there is a significant gap between Davis and the that next group of players who for me all rank between 20th-35th in the nba. Sengun should not have been as high as he is for me, he's not a top 10-12 centre. I really don't know how i'd do it tbh.

I was thinking, shouldn't you have taken into account unavailability because of injuries or plyoffs choking into account? And another thing they didn't clarify, are we taking their whole career/body of work into account or just their performance in recent seasons?

S: Jokic
(because he is a level above the others in my opinion. Carrying his team to a playoff, and posting record numbers while doing so, that deserves more love)
A: AD, Embiid
(because of both inconsistency and unavailability due to injury)
B: Bam, Brook, Sabonis, KAT
(all of them have been consistently good for longer, Brook's been anchoring a top defense for years, and was a beast back in his Nets days, and Sabonis is underrated but effective, and has been performing for a longer time compared to the rookies.)
C: Chet, Wemby, Sengun, Gobert
(the rookies are definittely great, but its too soon too tell, they could be one season wonders, or busts for all we know)
D: Porzingis
The AD argument is still amazing 😂, a top 10 TD3 moment in my opinion

I remember thinking man can you imagine a big man list without AD a couple of years ago. I think he's in that conversation again. Sure they're better, but he's in that tier for sure.

AD is S-, boom fixed it. He's definitely closer to Embiid than he is to chet mf holmgren but there's still a big gap between AD and the top 2. Also it's kinda hard to be the #1 option on your team when you're teammates with arguably the greatest basketball player of all time

Porzinigs' shooting and ability to attack switches in the post has completely changed Boston's offense. In addition, his defense has been stellar. He has been a good rim protector the last two years, but he's even been better at hedging and switching in comparisson to past seasons. He's defintely in the A tier in my opinion.
