I think it's because she was initially based in the US, if I'm not mistaken? I don't know if you recognize her but she's acted in Avengers and in the Fantastic Beasts... so I think for quite some time she was focused on making movies and films in Hollywood. She has signed with YG three years ago though, so that's why we've been seeing her more frequently in K-dramas and films like this one and Gyeongseong Creature 😊

The drama is showing the cycle , majority of obese people are stuck in. I am an obese too. 87 kgs.
Some kind of incident or a prolonged exposure to trauma, made them stress eat + no exercise = weight gain ----> fat shaming -----> start a random exercise routine + fast diet to quickly fit into the beauty mold of society -----> body breakdowns, nil or worse outcome -----> zero results = stress eat more and the cycle continues.
As a med, I can never tag down being obese as healthy but losing weight because you want to fit in some beauty standard is where it goes absolutely wrong. Hence I understand, why people are kind and positive towards obesity now.
I have learn it the hard way. I took my weight down from 90kgs to 78kgs through fast diet because I was tired of people mocking me and I started to faint on streets at the age of 23. Back to 88 kgs again but this time I will go slow and steady. Health and strength is most important. The beauty standard can rot in a corner.
Absolutely true.. Don't try hard to just please the society.. do it for yourself, slow and consistent so you will gradually get there without more pressure. More than anything it's important to be healthy. All the best 🙂
