I'm listening to this album after father's death. It makes me dive deep into memories, especially my childhood. There were so many moments with father and now I realize how he loved us and how he became depressed through his life. He was doing everything on his own and didn't want to disturb us with his problems and thoughts. But time is not standing still and we need to move on and sow the rye before our time will come. So many emotions were put in this album, thanks!
this is incredible. I've been obsessively replaying this album over last few days. absolutely love lowercase noises' music. idk how I didnt listen to this masterpiece before. its so mesmerizing, blissful, serene and beautiful. so many cool different vibes, structures and melodies. gorgeous moving vocals. emotional, deep and moving instrumentals. i love how it changes and evolves. how it inflicts sense of awe and wonder. its such a pleasant and captivating album! gonna have to get lost in it often. it's too irresistible
@@phylippezimmermannpaquin2062 nice sounds but primarily in the realm of despair. There is a dystopian quality to it. I love the music in the fallout games, and this music has that atmosphere.

Eric Cornwell well if you are now (a year after you commented here) into the genre, and haven't found the bands If these trees could talk (Red Forest, the best album made in post-rock), Miaik, and God is an Astronaut, you need to TH-cam the shit out of them. they're the three best of the genre I think, and the first two i named are dark and "heavy" for post-rock, like this band is
tthe first track resonates with me so much. if anyone has ever listened to orthodox chapel songs, they will see the similarity. im not a religious person, but nonetheless this music still strikes an emotional chord. thank you for uploading.
Yeah, I get it. I'm a few years late to the party. But this album is amazing, so I figured I'd say something about it. But I won't. Read the story of the Lykov family, and listen to the album. Good evening and God bless, everyone.
Oh god, yes. this is soooo dark and vengeful sounding to me. which is something that a lot of post-rock bands, even a lot of the darker bands, lack. I have only listened to two songs on this record so far, as I'm typing this, but I think this might be in my top 5 list for this genre already already
famine and the death of a mother is my favorite song so far weve come a long way from stuck a feather in his hat.....so someone please listen to my song on sound cloud the goodbye warning

Andy's best work imho. Is an amazing timeless album. It digs into human hope, despair, brokenness, and innocence like no other album I've heard.
May i suggest the caretaker

Suddenly listening for 40 minutes there was the banjo... felt like hope rising!
Listening to Slience of Siberia and reading something sad(Book, Comics or even Fanfic) is just too much...
This and Migratory Patterns are my two favorite albums by him.
